Three days of rain and this summer riding feels like a lifetime ago.

Somehow managed to get back to back illnesses for the last 2 weeks, so mostly just been sat staring at the bike counting down the days till I can get back in the saddle!

Really gunna be starting the winter lock in with average fitness at best 😂

Foot stayed firmly on the gas this month 🏎️

Chain gangs, hill climbs, many K’s ridden at higher intensity than they should have been. Huge month for my riding as well as my mates - chasing @danpettitt_ round Tenby and watching him become an Ironman is up there with my more proud moments 🙌

Gunna be hard to top this one…

Big man vs Big Hill 🤡

First attempt at a proper hill climb event. Went out way too hard, not hard enough in the middle, but finished exactly how I’d wanted to, full gas with nothing left on the line.

Community around these events is unbelievable. People supporting each other and spectators cheering from the sidelines - closest I’ll get to a tour pro!

Smashed my 5 minute power PB and also my legs in the process. Will 100% be doing more of these! Shoutout to the boys for nailing their runs as well 🔥

I’ve ridden my bike a lot more than I should have recently…

Can’t help but say yes whenever a ‘ride tomorrow?’ message pops up, especially with turbo season rapidly approaching 💀

Another week putting myself in places I have no business being - this time watching the big man @camhubert.cc smash (himself) up the local hill climb, and the youngster @leo_rides_bikes_ take the Junior W on his debut 😤

Bit of this n that to end the week but boy do we love seeing the bros getting strong 🤝

Also if you’re reading this I held that track stand for approx 45 mins…

Not sure where to start with this…

For years I’ve said I’d love to give a proper race a go, but deep down I found the idea terrifying.

I finally mustered up the courage to give one a go with the help of @maxwilko • Darley Moor was an obvious choice after watching the @la_vetta_cc boys last year, so signed on to the Cat 3/4 hosted by @hausraceteam

60 minutes of wet, cold, brutal, full tilt bike riding ended up being one of the most rewarding and insane experiences I’ve had on a road bike. Despite not being able to see for most of it as a result of the spray, I actually placed better than I thought (not last). Likely would have placed better had I not miscounted the laps and actually sprinted!

3 new power PB’s in one day is a sign of a good one in my books.

Absolutely class event hosted and ridden by some really welcoming and encouraging people. Can’t even explain how much I was sh*tting myself about this, but everyone was so sound, offered so much advice and honestly, shattered the gate keepy, scary expectation I had for it. I will definitely be back for more…

Unless it’s raining… not doing that again 💀

If you’re thinking of starting crit racing. Darley is the place to go! 🤝
