Building your little Dutch paradise in Windmill Valley is just pure fun! Every decision feels meaningful — from where to place your windmills on the board, how far to turn your action wheels, which rows to plant tulips in and more.

⚙️ The Action Wheels are the heart of the game. Each space offers something valuable, and choosing when to skip an action becomes a strategic puzzle in itself — especially if your opponents are rushing the floodgate! Upgrading your wheel with stronger action tiles or those that let you take two actions in one turn feels so rewarding and makes for some seriously satisfying turns.

💨 Placing windmills is one of those moments that never gets old. Every spot on the board offers something different — extra actions, tulips, money, or even lowering the water level — so finding the right place always feels rewarding. It’s not just about immediate bonuses either; your placement can tie into scoring cards later, making each windmill feel like a small but meaningful step in your overall strategy.

🌷 Planting Tulips is straight forward but elegant. You’ll want to line them up with matching types to score rows and non-matching types to score columns, but the tempting rewards you gain from where you plant can throw your plans off in just the right way😎

This game has captivated me in a way that no other game has since I started my journey in this hobby.

We have played it ten times since we got it and that was only a couple of weeks ago... and I want to play it again😉

Shackleton Base is a worker placement game at its core but with different workers for different tasks. The crater is super puzzly and can be quite a hostile place if you're playing against my wife😎

Having three corporations from a selection of seven in each game really gives Shackleton Base the edge that it has. The corporations are super easy to understand and fit the core game perfectly, regardless of the combination you choose/end up with.

I cannot wait to see what will be next in the board gaming world. This one is going to be tough to match👌

We'll be playing game eleven tonight and game twelve tomorrow...

Castles Of Burgundy

This was the first real euro game I played after Catan back around 2012 or so. I'll never forget the day my wife and I sat down to play... I was the first player and had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do first... My dice didn't let me move somewhere like monopoly😂 Now we're certified addicts... Thanks @ravensburgerglobal 👀

Castles of Burgundy is still one of our all time favorites and this 2019 edition is just gorgeous❤️

The first game of Tiletum was good. We enjoyed it enough to give it another go. Our second play had us fall absolutely over the hills in love with the game❤️

The design is so simple and clean. Moving your architect around to build pillars so you can contribute towards building cathedrals... Moving your merchant around to build houses so you can score during the festivals... Unlocking more houses and pillars by completing contracts and filling your houses with people...

The action selection mechanism is super fun. I loved the way it tore me between gaining resources and taking actions all the while worrying about what my wife would be left with or would leave me with👌

Tiletum is a top class game in our opinion. We've played it three times already and look forward to a bunch more plays❤️

This was such a fun experience👌

I've been looking at this game for a while now but just couldn't make up my mind as to whether I'd buy a copy or not... Turns out a friend of mine, @james_fissh has a copy so I grabbed it from him to test out...

All I have to say is this... I'm getting my own copy🔥

Flamecraft is a light weight worker placement/point to point movement game with a super pleasurable feel to it. You're going from shop to shop to grab resources so you can enchant those same shops... You're also grabbing artisan dragons that you'll place into shops to increase their value as well as trying to complete your own objectives... Called 'Fancy Dragons'💪

That's pretty much it. Doesn't sound like much, I know, but it just works so well and has the right amount of grit to get my wife to fight me😉

LOVE IT!

Wow! I have so much to say about this game but... I'm gonna hold off until I've had a few more plays.

For now I'll say that the experience was superb. The game was super engaging, highly competitive and brain melting🫨 Just the way I like games to be🤓

I'll do a full review of Nucleum in a couple of weeks👍

There's just something so pleasant and peaceful about this game. It's one of the few games I can play more than once in a row💯

There's alot that can be said about all the goodness that's inside Verdant so I won't go on and make you read an essay... I will say this though, Verdant is the perfect puzzle game with an absolutely delightful theme👌I need more games like this😉

In this two player card game you'll work towards completing routes, placing stations and giving extra tours.

On your turn you will perform the following steps in order. Place a passenger, place stations, gain income, purchase trains and finally draw back up to six cards.

Its a tricky little game as the cards you're using to create routes can be flipped over and used for income. You need the cards to create routes but also need the income to purchase trains... a seemingly small but interesting dilemma🫣

At the start of your turn you have to place one or two passangers next to the terminal station that matches the passangers colour. These terminals will cause the matching colour routes to score for both players. There's a nice little push and pull battle that happens during this step... usually based on not wanting your opponent to score😎 or on prolonging a particular routes scoring so you can maximize your score when it eventually does score... which it will😑 ( I said Score a lot there...)

Extra tours will score for only you when you complete one. This is done by getting eight cards into your route. Once you reach eight cards you automatically score. The game has wild cards that don't contribute to your regular scoring but help in getting eight cards for extra tours. These are called Conductor Cards.

The game ends immediately after 10 routes have been scored.

Trambahn is a light two player game that we've owned for many years now. We hang on to this one as it's super fun and plays pretty fast. I'd love to see an updated version of this one... Just saying😎

Played a three player game of Woodcraft lastnight. It was a first time play for my brother in law and @james_fissh but they crushed it and had a blast... I mean if they didn't I'd be concerned because Woodcraft is a masterpiece👌 I'd even go as far as saying that @james_fissh has officially found his new love🤪

Vladimir Suchy has this wonderful ability to design games with incredible depth. The amount of strategy hiding inside of his games just makes you want to play them again and again. Woodcraft is a perfect example of a game designed to last and is one that should be in every players collection. I can see why @riograndegames chose to publish his games - they are top class in every way!

Can't wait to get this one out for the next game💯
