My first HYROX weekend.
3 races in 2 days. 1 solo. 1 doubles. 1 relay.

They say HYROX will humble you.
They’re right.

I came in hoping for great results. I left with something even more valuable: experience.

Here are my biggest takeaways:

• Race day doesn’t have to be perfect. Something will probably go wrong. Adapt and keep moving.

• If it’s your first HYROX, don’t judge yourself by your finishing time. Your biggest win is leaving with a baseline to beat next time.

• The race will expose your weakest link. Maybe it’s the running. Maybe it’s one station. Maybe it’s all of them. That’s the point.

• Every mistake is data. Learn from it, train it, and come back stronger.

• Pace yourself. HYROX rewards consistency far more than a fast start. Going out too hard is one of the easiest ways to suffer later in the race.

• The goal of your first HYROX isn’t to prove yourself—it’s to discover yourself as an athlete.

Now it’s time to go back to work. 💪
