Swipe!

The last Sunday in my home church really felt like such a big big warm hug. The unexpected call out, the prayers, the words, the gifts, the hugs, the thousand and 1 pictures I had to take😅 So much warmth, so much love. Nahhh, I fought silly tearsssss

These teenagers have my whole heart!🥹
Teaching them and watching them grow has been one of my heart’s greatest delights
Grateful to God to have had the opportunity, and even more grateful for the boldness to begin.

The week before traveling, my mothers from church organized an outing for me.

The medical profession is after Doctor Queen’s life but she was determined for us to see before I travelled. This was the morning of my flight🥹❤️

Of course I was excited, but she was excitederrrrrr (I know the word doesn’t exist, leave it like that)

Using this as a point of reference to my uncles and aunties. Men and women of timber and caliber😌
They couldn’t all be in Abuja but they ensured that their mama travelled well! Super grateful to have them🥹❤️

It’s always the mother’s side btw🌚🤐

This and the next slide - I was definitely love bombed by my church, and I absolutely loved it!❤️

I don’t think it really hit me that I was actually traveling until I walked back into the airport, alone. And the moment the reality sunk in, omo, hot tearsss

This is the first time I was really stepping out on my own. Not just travelling to another state in Nigeria, not just going somewhere where I knew family would be waiting for me, but actually leaving home and going all the way to a different country, a different land.

For all the times I had to start a new journey or resume school, I always had family with me. When I was resuming at UNN, both parents traveled with me and stayed till I settled in. When I transitioned to Babcock, my mum and sister travelled with me. Even when I was travelling alone, I always had family waiting for me wherever I was going. So this just felt so different.

For a moment, the thought of everything was overwhelming. But thank God, somehow, God in His mercy has surrounded me with family here.
