Tonight was Jameson’s last middle school football game… next stop, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL! 🏈 Crazy how fast the time goes!

Looking back on this season, he was blessed to play alongside some amazing teammates and friends and compete against so many great players who have become friends along the way. These are the years that build character, friendships, and memories that will last long after the final whistle.

Keep working, buddy. Keep showing up, keep pushing yourself beyond what you think you’re capable of, and never stop chasing those limits. Stay humble, trust the process, and remember that the work you put in when no one is watching is what will help you grow.

First Day of School ❤️📚

As crazy as it may seem, I feel like I blinked and they grew up! How are we already here?! MJ is a junior and Jameson is an 8th grader. 🥹

I’m proud beyond belief of the young people they are becoming; their strength, growth, personalities, and everything that makes them “them.” I’m so excited to watch what this school year brings and to see what the future has in store for both of them.

Time, please slow down just a little. 🥰 Here’s to a great year, MJ & Jameson! Go make it a good one!

And for me, it’s year 21 of teaching! 🍎📚 Twenty-one years of learning right alongside my students and reminding them that each day is a new day. We have to trust the process, keep moving forward, and remember that even when today is hard, tomorrow may open a new door.

Top 10 from NYC 🗽❤️

So many memories packed into this trip, but these are the moments I want to remember most:

1. College tour with the kids 🎓
Getting to explore a college campus together and watch them start thinking about what their futures might look like.

2. Madison Square Garden 🏀🏒
Touring MSG was incredible, but seeing the contracts the athletes sign and the accountability that comes with them really stuck with me. As a coach, I absolutely loved that.

3. MJ & Jameson and their matching injuries 😂
The number of people who asked if they were twins because of their matching injuries, and all the “I’m sorry” comments, had us laughing. One guy even tried to give Jamo a pitching lesson. LOL.

4. Chasing a baseball at Yankee Stadium ⚾️
Watching how excited the kids were trying to get a ball from the players was one of my favorite things. And the ONLY run of the game was a home run hit right into our section!

5. Central Park → The Plaza → Rockefeller Center 🌳🏙️
Walking through the city and watching the kids make all the Home Alone 2 and Elf connections they wanted to see made it even better.

6. The Mets game! ⚾️🎆
What. A. Party. The energy was amazing, and the fireworks after the game were the perfect ending.

7. Listening to the kids laugh and sing in the car ❤️
Nothing famous. Nothing touristy. Just one of those simple moments you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

8. Dinner date with my family on the beach 🌊
Good food, the beach, and my favorite people. Pretty hard to beat.

9. MJ the Musical 🎭
WOW. Just WOW!! Absolutely incredible.

10. Kissing my husband in Times Square ❤️

This one is different.

A few months ago, I didn’t know if this moment would ever happen again. Standing there together, in the middle of Times Square, surrounded by all the lights and noise, I kissed my husband, and for a moment, everything else disappeared.

It felt like maybe, just maybe, it’s all going to be alright. ❤️

We went to NYC thinking we were taking a family vacation.

🗽 NYC VACATION — 6 DAYS, 50 MILES & SO MANY MEMORIES! ❤️🍎

What a trip! We packed SO much into six days in New York City: walked 50 miles, explored all over the city, caught two baseball games, hit Broadway, shopped, swam, ate plenty of pizza, and made memories we’ll be talking about for a long time!

Days 1–3: 29 miles walked! 👟

This summer has truly been “one for the books.“ ❤️

Between Kevin’s surgery to have his defibrillator placed, Jameson’s partial UCL tear while pitching, and MJ’s complete UCL tear after diving back into first, we’ve definitely had our share of scary moments.

Add in coaching softball and baseball, keeping up with all things MVP, and the never-ending summer schedule, and it’s safe to say “I am tired!” 😂

But through all the craziness, this summer has also been filled with so many great memories, amazing people, and plenty of reasons to be thankful. It’s been busy, scary, exhausting, and a whole lot of fun all at the same time.

Now, Kevin is heading back into football season, and we’re finally looking forward to a little “family time”, just us, the crazy Heit crew who somehow always find ourselves around sports. 🥎⚾️🏈🏀

We’re heading to New York for a much-needed family vacation… but knowing our family, I’m sure we’ll find a sporting event or two to attend. 😉
