MHP has taught me the power of ✨community✨and it reminded me that you get, what you give. Not because Karma is a cosmic justice system, but bc it’s ⚡️cause and effect 🔋

What you pour into those around you, is what you will receive in return.

When you show care and genuine interest to others, it makes it 1,000x easier for them to reciprocate that. And you do this, not bc you know it will come back to you. You do this bc you know that - alone, you will not be able to create deep, meaningful change in the world - by yourself.

You do this bc you know that together, we are stronger, better, more fulfilled, and carry out our collective purpose with much more sustainability and longevity.

So be the person that smiles first, offers a warm gesture first, and extend your arms first.

Bc 4 years will come and go, and time will pass regardless of whether you make the best of your circumstances or not. Opportunities will present itself and in those moments, you will choose to feel the pain of regret or the pain of remorse. You may feel embarrassed for trying and for sometimes failing.

I would rather feel embarrassed and foolish a million times over than to play it safe and small 999,999 times.

MHP has shown me the power of reaching out and connecting. It reminded me that the sound of my own drum travels far and deep, mostly reverberating inside my own self.

Thanks to all my friends, old and new, who showed up to flow in movement together, hang out afterwards, and celebrate MHP’s 4th birthday.

Time is a non-renewable resource. Thanks for showing up and gifting me with your presence 🎁🧧 by @mhp.go

May is AANHPI Heritage Month, and to celebrate, we highlighted @laplanta.co and @mhp_htx , two Asian-American owned small businesses here in Houston, TX. We also had great support from @neurogum - a functional gum company also founded by two Asian-American friends.

Big shoutout to our event sponsors: @drinkpres @taste_salud @saintjamesicedtea for hooking us up with drinks to keep the great open play vibes going.

Check out @splashbros_pb page on @sweatpalshouston for our weekly events.

Join us in open play and connect with community! Thanks for celebrating AANHPI Heritage month with us today. taken in Houston Pickleball Center by @mhp.go

@welldamnyaqui is not new to being highlighted on the @mhp_htx page. I started off as her personal trainer in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣ and have now able to support her recovery through the various activities and exercises she’s participated in. I’ve been able to see Yaqui’s progress firsthand and upfront and am always grateful to have her continuous support and trust in me to help her care for her body and self.

Alongside her sister, the two recently completed the @texasms150 event - raising money and awareness for MS by cycling close to 170 miles in two days.

The name of the game is to show up every time, put in the work, listen to your body, and create your own proprietary blend of recovery.

Congrats again @welldamnyaqui for your determination and effort! Not just in your most recent MS150 achievement, but to all the deposits you’ve put into yourself, your exercise, and your recovery over the last decade - cheers to many more goals waiting to be accomplished by you! taken in Houston, Texas by @mhp.go

Last month, @jparedes09 completed a massive accomplishment: cycling OVER 150 miles to raise money and awareness for the @texasms150 foundation.

Joce and I went to the same high school and reunited at @crossfit_besomeone_nutrition , where I coached for several years and then launched my now sports chiropractic clinic: @mhp_htx

I’ve been able to help with her and her family’s wellness journeys before I offered to sponsor her recovery while training for the #ms150

I completed the MS150 in 2014 and knew the toll it had on my body, so I wanted to support my friends in the ways that I knew best: helping restore functional ranges of motion and to encourage pain-free movement.

Congrats again to your accomplishment, Jocelyn! You put in the work, took care of your body, and followed through. Way to visualize and execute! taken in CrossFit Be Someone Nutrition by @mhp.go

A strong posterior chain (the muscles running from your upper back down to your heels) is the foundation of long-term health and mobility (with PubMed references at the end).

Here is how prioritizing these muscles changes your quality of life ⬇️

Fall Prevention & Independence:
- Strengthening your glutes, hamstrings, and lower back improves balance and gait. This significantly reduces the risk of falls, a leading cause of injury as we age.

Back Pain Relief:
- Weakness in the lumbar extensors and glutes is a primary driver of chronic low back pain. Functional movements like deadlifts and hip hinges restore stability and reduce pain intensity.

Longevity & Metabolic Health:
- Training these large muscle groups combats age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia), supports bone density, and improves insulin sensitivity to extend your “healthspan.”

A couple weeks ago, @connectedxchiropractic hosted our very first and very own panel event. We were graciously provided the expertise and knowledge of @welldamnyaqui , @thecandidchiro , and @paulalloydg as our amazing panelists.

Big shout-out to our ASL interpreter: @chrissalyse_ thank you so much for your energy and presence.

I ( @mhp_htx ) very excitedly moderated the panel. What an honor and blessing it was to be beside my friends for that afternoon. I respect these individuals so much. Not only for their incredible expertise in their fields, but for the heart and core of who each one of them are. I find myself lucky to know them both professionally and personally.

There is so much about this event that cannot be condensed into a single post description.

The CXC board went from worrying about not selling any tickets, to seeing lives positively impacted during and after the event.

To host a CXC event is enduring and to be a part of it in attendance is special and lasting.

So much was shared that day, not just between panelists and audience, but between participants and individuals beyond the event.

We entered the space - curious, and left with a toolset intentionally created with and by community.

As CXC best postures ourself for future events, we will continue to move with intention and attention. Attention to what we believe will benefit us and our community members as well as with the intention to support and uplift.

Keep an eye out for some clips of our info-jammed panel event, and stay tuned for our upcoming gatherings.

We hope to see you there! Thanks for staying connected with us.

- your CXC team,
