Rendezvous: a place to meet, to gather.

The ribbon cutting today for @vousonelm was a reflection of exactly that: a place for residents to gather, to meet, to live, work, and play right in downtown Manchester at 976 Elm Street.

On Friday, along with community members, we had the opportunity to formally and joyously welcome @epochtreasures to Manchester!

Located at 1555 Elm Street on the corner of Blodget Street, it's a store brimming with vintage finds, nostalgic candy, and neighbors stopping in to grab a few pieces of candy or a trinket on their way home from school or work.

The Champion of All Things Business in Manchester, our very own Erik Lesniak, helped coordinate the first-of-its-kind New Hampshire Small Business roundtable.

The discussion brought together small business owners and several officials, including local legislator Pat Long, @mht_mayor, Brian Groth from the @nh_economy, and the NH SBDC. Conversations focused on the challenges small businesses face, as well as resources, opportunities, and available support. It was a morning full of collaboration and fruitful discussion.

Many thanks to the @grtrmanchester for lending the space for the forum. A group of individuals sat around tables discussion small business. by @mht_ecodev

There's some stuff* going on around Manchester this weekend, and it's going to bring in a couple of people here and there**.
This feels like the perfect time to remind everyone that there's a wealth of street parking in addition to parking garages.

*There's SO much going on this weekend! Glendi, Granite State Comic Con, Manchester Brewfest, Manchester Arts Festival Street Fair, Tour of Manchester ... the list goes on!
**There are going to be a lot of people in the Queen City! And we think that's pretty awesome. by @mht_ecodev

The Manchester Development Corporation works to support economic development initiatives across the City of Manchester. Their mission is to cultivate vibrant and sustainable communities while also empowering entrepreneurs.
For the downtown art space, @mosaicartcollective, this support came in the form of adding color that goes beyond the walls of the gallery and right onto Chestnut Street.
Although you may not have stopped into Mosaic, you just might be familiar with their work downtown: they're the faces behind coordinating the festive, painted holiday windows across the City in November and December.

"The MDC Enhancement grant made it possible for us to update our storefront and bring new energy to the corner of Chestnut and Hanover Streets. Mosaic Art Collective is a community art hub connecting local artists to each other and to opportunities across Manchester, New Hampshire, and New England. Each month we host open call art exhibitions built around a central theme or medium, along with professional development workshops and programming that are always free to the public. We also create opportunities like Holiday Painted Windows, which pairs local business owners with artists to bring festive artwork to downtown storefronts throughout November and December. Mosaic is an accessible gallery that makes art collecting possible for the greater Manchester community. We are always free and open to the public, so stop in and see what's new. There's something different to discover every month." by @mht_ecodev
