"वंदे गंगा जल संरक्षण जन अभियान" एवं "एक पेड़ मां के नाम" अभियान के अंतर्गत आज दिनांक 05 जून, विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर मुकंदरा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान, कोटा में व्यापक वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया।

उप वन संरक्षक श्री मुथु एस. के निर्देशन में मुकंदरा राष्ट्रीय उद्यान के कार्यालय परिसर में विभिन्न प्रजातियों के पौधों का रोपण किया गया। इस अवसर पर नीम, पीपल, अमलतास, कचनार सहित अन्य स्थानीय एवं पर्यावरण हितैषी प्रजातियों के पौधे लगाए गए।

कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य पर्यावरण संरक्षण, हरित आवरण में वृद्धि तथा जनसामान्य में वृक्षारोपण के प्रति जागरूकता उत्पन्न करना रहा। उपस्थित अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने पौधों के संरक्षण एवं नियमित देखभाल का संकल्प भी लिया

मुकंदरा हिल्स टाइगर रिजर्व के DFO श्री मुथु एस. के निर्देशन में वन विभाग द्वारा शिक्षा क्षेत्र को सुदृढ़ करने की दिशा में एक सराहनीय पहल की गई। RFBDP परियोजना के अंतर्गत राजकीय उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय चांद बावड़ी एवं राजकीय उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय पाचन कुई में आवश्यक संसाधन उपलब्ध कराए गए।
इस पहल के तहत राजकीय उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय चांद बावड़ी में 1 कंप्यूटर, 1 इनवर्टर (दो बैटरियों सहित) तथा भीषण गर्मी को ध्यान में रखते हुए 4 छत पंखे भेंट किए गए। वहीं राजकीय उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय पाचन कुई में भी 5 छत पंखे प्रदान किए गए, जिससे विद्यार्थियों को बेहतर एवं सुविधाजनक शैक्षणिक वातावरण मिल सके।
इस अवसर पर ACF सुश्री शिल्पी जैन, रेंजर श्री राजपाल शर्मा, नाका प्रभारी श्री सुभाष मीणा, वनरक्षक सुश्री रेखा कुमारी, RFBDP जिला योजना प्रभारी सुश्री रानी शर्मा सहित विद्यालय के समस्त शिक्षकगण उपस्थित रहे।
कार्यक्रम में वक्ताओं ने कहा कि वन विभाग की यह पहल न केवल पर्यावरण संरक्षण तक सीमित है, बल्कि सामाजिक सरोकारों के माध्यम से शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में भी सकारात्मक योगदान सुनिश्चित कर रही है। विद्यार्थियों एवं शिक्षकों ने इस सहयोग के लिए वन विभाग के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया। by @mhtrtigerreserve

A New Beginning in the Wild 🐅🌿

On February 28, 2026, at 8:34 AM, tigress MT-10 was successfully translocated from Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve to Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve.

After an 8-hour journey, she was safely released into a soft-release enclosure in the Jhamra area of Rawatha Range.

A significant step towards strengthening tiger conservation and restoring ecological balance. 🌱🐾

🦅 Asian Waterbird Census 2026 | Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve (MHTR) 💧🌿
From 2nd–4th February 2026, Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve proudly participated in the Asian Waterbird Census, a global initiative to monitor wetland birds and assess ecosystem health.

Borawas Talab • Girdharpura Bada Talab • Girdharpura Chota Talab • Sothiya Talab • Mandargarh Talab • Laxmipura Talab • Kishore Sagar Talab • Sawan Badhoo Dam • Alaniya Talab • Nolav Talab • Gopal Pakshi Vihar.

✨ Approximately 159 bird species recorded across wetlands of MHTR — showing the rich biodiversity and ecological importance of these water bodies.

Bar-headed Goose • Ruddy Shelduck • Northern Pintail • Northern Shoveler • Garganey • Eurasian Spoonbill • Greater Painted Snipe • Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse • Bluethroat • White-capped Bunting • Red-headed Bunting • Ashy-crowned Sparrow Lark • Black-headed Gull • Caspian Gull • Osprey
🦅 Majestic Raptors Also Recorded

Along with these, many other resident and migratory waterbirds were documented during the survey.

Wildlife Week Celebration | 2–8 October | MHTR
Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve celebrated Wildlife Week (2nd–8th October) across several peripheral and relocation villages, aiming to strengthen community participation and spread awareness about wildlife protection.
The activities were conducted in the villages of Rawtha, Mandargadh, Shree Pura, Gagron, Nolav, Jawra Khurd, and Rathkankra.
Students, youth, and community members actively participated in:
• Road-kill awareness sessions
• Wildlife identification activities
• Quiz competitions
• Conservation talks and interactive sessions
These programs helped build a deeper understanding of wildlife and encouraged communities to engage in conservation efforts.
Together, we are shaping a more aware and responsible future for our forests and wildlife.

Girdharpura Relocation Survey in Progress | MHTR
The socio-economic survey of Girdharpura village is currently underway.
With approximately 370 families, it is one of the major villages included in the relocation process.
Our team is conducting:
• Household surveys
• Relocation form filling
• Verification of socio-economic details
• Regular interactions to understand villagers’ opinions about relocation
Senior officers including CCF, DCF and ACF  are also holding meetings with villagers to address queries and ensure complete transparency.
The department is committed to making the relocation process voluntary, informed, and beneficial for the community. by @mhtrtigerreserve

Relocation Survey Update | Roopura & Kolipura | MHTR
The socio-economic surveys of Roopura and Kolipura villages have been successfully completed under the relocation program of Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve.
📌 Kolipura
• 171 total families surveyed
• Detailed socio-economic information collected
• Complete household-level documentation and form submission done
📌 Roopura
• 38 landholding families
• Survey completed for all families
• Interaction sessions held to understand villagers’ expectations and concerns
Our field team, along with the forest staff and the sociologist coordinating the survey process, visited every household to ensure transparent data collection, proper guidance, and continuous departmental support.
These surveys play an important role in planning fair and community-focused relocation.
