Marty Gilbert, associate professor of computer science and Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) at Mars Hill University, has been selected as the 2026 NCAA Division II Faculty Athletics Representative of the Year by the Faculty Athletics Representatives Association (FARA).

“This is such an honor,” Gilbert said. “Through the FAR Connection Program and FAR Leadership Institutes, I get to work alongside incredible FARs across the country and see the phenomenal work they do every day for student-athletes. Because of that, being singled out for this award is truly humbling. This recognition is really a reflection of the strong support I receive from our university president, athletics leadership, and academic leadership.”

🦁 GAME DAY!
Our final road match of the regular season takes us to Anderson for another important SAC contest. Our focus is simple: stay sharp, compete with purpose, and build on the progress we’ve made throughout the season.

Another opportunity to put together a complete performance and finish our road schedule on a high note.
