MISASAM — Miralda Sandoval Sampogna (1987, Monterrey)

Oscilando entre la mística y la lógica, la estructura y la poética, la anécdota y aquello que sólo parece haber sucedido, Miralda desarrolla proyectos donde conceptos aparentemente incompatibles son obligados a convivir hasta revelar nuevas posibilidades. Su práctica utiliza la fricción como método: una insistencia en acercar extremos hasta que producen forma, tensión o significado.

Bajo MISASAM, Miralda dedica a perseguir obsesiones hacia puntos más estrechos, entre símbolos, repeticiones, herencias, objetos y narrativas personales, cada proyecto busca reducir una idea a su espina dorsal para observar cómo rebota contra sistemas opuestos de pertenencia identidad y deseo. Las piezas resultantes suelen habitar estados en superposición: entre orgullo y vergüenza, legado y mutaciones, visibilidad y camuflaje, peso y ligereza, en una búsqueda constante de luz y dirección en la cotidianeidad.

Acero Inoxidable acabado super-espejo, mecanismo de imanes para abrir y cerrar.

Una comisión para lograr una perspectiva funcional distinta al despachador de cinta, una comisión que me hizo muy feliz por el amor especial que le tengo a la masking tape, un objeto tan servicial y noble y a su vez despampanante, tan protagonista y efímero, que desde hasta tiempo exploró su flexibilidad.

En este caso fueron 2 piezas, evocando a mi fascinación por buscar la luz, con artificios picudos y elevaciones al cielo, una pieza es de masking tape y la otra de magic tape.
