¡Mi Gente! Tenemos grandes noticias!

We have been invited to speak at the @mujeresofallshades event “Mujeres SIN Límites” in the Dominican Republic! 🇩🇴

Nuestro mensaje es internacional!!!

I know I don’t put my photo on here often but this is me!

“Stephanie is a proud first generation Mexican American. She is the first in her family to graduate from University and will make sure she is not the last. At 24 years old she has developed over 8 years in experience with modeling, entrepreneurship, and has now started her community, Mi Gente 1st Gen, to advocate in helping elevate other first generations that are learning their way through cultural shock. She believes that we can learn from everyone, from children to generations before us, if we are willing to let it happen. Education is the key to understanding.”

Gracias por su constante apoyo y buenas vibras 🫶🏻 next stop 🇩🇴✈️ by @mi_gente1st

¡Hola Mi Gente!

My name is Stephanie Murillo. At 23 years old I am a model, creative, and entrepreneur with over 7 years experience in each of those areas!

I choose to build upon the efforts of my parents and my grandparents and my people before them. I am Mexican-American and the first in my family to graduate from a university.

I walked blinded through the unknown road so my sisters and the generations after me won’t have to. Everywhere people would ask what was next after graduation, but the truth is that this legacy started long before this day and will continue long after 🇲🇽 proud of how far I’ve come and excited for everything that is yet to come 🔱

When I tell you there were blood, sweat, and tears that went into the preparation of this show…

Stepping into this new role as a designer required a refined version of me including patience, sleepless nights, and learning to trust myself through the process.

I used to think that all the different areas I was a part of were random and really didn’t have anything connecting them together. But coming into this role everything fell into place. My experience in modeling, marketing, styling, illustration, my love for math, literally everything applies here. It’s just that feeling when you know you were always meant to end up here 🤍

Grateful for this beginning, for the lessons behind the curtain, and for the chance to continue growing in Level 2 of my fashion design journey. This is just the start, and the struggles only make the dream stronger. ✨ taken in Tempe Center for the Arts by @mi_gente1st

I have no interest in sticking to one (career, life) path.
I’ll do every single thing l’ve ever wanted to do in my lifetime, and I’ll be amazing at all of it, because that’s who I am and I see no limit.
