You made it to Friday but you are absolutely exhausted. 😩

I’ve been in Corporate America for 15 years and I’ve learned a few tricks along the way. Here’s the one thing I do (and teach my teams) to feel great at the end of the week.

I design my week using something I call the Push Theory. It sounds crazy at first… and you think, “This will never work at my company.”

Give it a try. You might start a trend. 😏

Make Monday through Thursday the days that you PUSH. Schedule all your meetings Monday through Thursday, get all of the quick tactical things completed, and make a really strategic to-do list for your Friday.

Friday becomes yours. This is when you can reach your flow state and work work on strategic projects and items that require deep thinking and minimal interruptions.

You work from home, but your bag is basically an emergency kit for corporate life. 👜💅🏼

I think most of you will agree, WFH is glorious. No commute. No office bathroom. Almost always stretchy pants.

But the second I have to go into the office? The bag gets PACKED. I basically turn into Mary Poppins.

After 15 years in corporate, I’ve learned there are a few things I refuse to be caught without.

My WFH-to-office must-haves:

✨ Blush - because by 2pm I need to add a little color back into my life
✨ Fragrance - because the office-to-dinner transition should smell good
✨ Hand lotion - because I want to be reminded of the beach as I’m sitting in my cubicle 🌴
✨ Mouse - because working from just your laptop without a second monitor is difficult enough
✨ Hairbrush - needs no explanation 🎀
✨ Hand sanitizer(s) - because shaking hands should help you make friends, not catch germs
✨ Lipstick - because don’t be caught without it 💄
✨ PURSE HOOK - if you don’t know, now you know

My bag says “I just show up like this” but the contents say “I’m ready for whatever this day throws at me.”

You don’t need someone to tell you you’re doing great. You need someone to tell you why it’s not translating into advancement.🗣️

You need someone who can look at your career objectively and say, “Here’s where you’re getting in your own way.”

Someone who will challenge your assumptions. Tell you when your work isn’t visible enough. Tell you when your communication isn’t landing the way you think it is.

Discipline and hard work are the foundation. And you’ve got that part down! But you need to hear the truth about where your gaps are. To know what to work on and how to position it, so you can change your trajectory.

I finally got a seat at the table. Here’s how. 👇🏼

Somewhere along the way, you lost yourself. You think holding back will somehow protect you… but it’s actually doing the opposite, it’s costing you!

Showing up as your authentic self in business is the fastest way to build connections. Of course, the hard work must be there. Of course, you have to learn to properly communicate your work in terms of impact. But don’t underestimate the value of being truly you. 💚

I am playful, and talkative, and can be painfully goofy. I’ve embraced these traits as my superpowers and show up as my full self in the work that I do with my team and my clients.

I show up, I keep my word, and I fight for what I believe in. If you think that holding back your personality will help you “fly under the radar” - let’s talk, b/c that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

When you start showing up as authentically yourself, that’s when everything starts to change.🔝

I just got back from a four day work trip. 😮‍💨
And guess what? A strong work ethic still matters. A LOT.

We talk so much about visibility, office politics, and getting in front of the right people that sometimes we forget the foundation of it all.

You have to be good at what you do. You have to show up when it matters and people have to be able to count on you.

That means:
→ Do what you say you’re gonna do. No excuses.
→ Keep your word. Your reputation is built on it.
→ Grind it out. Not every task is glamorous, but consistency builds trust.

Visibility without substance is just noise. You can be the most charismatic person in the room, but if you don’t follow through, people will eventually figure that out.

And if you think sitting back passively and “letting your work speak for itself” is going to get you promoted…how’s that approach working for you? 😵

Your work ethic is the foundation. Your reputation builds trust. Your visibility makes sure the right people know what you’re capable of. You need all three.

Save this as your reminder: Work hard. Keep your word. Make your work count. And make sure the right people know it. 📣

The 3 things I learned that will get you promoted in corporate 👇🏼

I used to think promotions were simple:
Do great work → get noticed → get promoted.

After 15+ years in corporate, I’ve learned it’s not that simple. ☺️

Here are the three things I wish someone had taught me earlier:

1. PERCEPTION matters.
Being good at your job is the baseline. The harsh reality is, how people experience you matters too.

Your reputation is being built whether you’re intentional about it or not. Find a mentor that will give you insight into how you and your work are being perceived so you can be intentional about curating the perception you want to give.

2. VISIBILITY matters.
Your work can be exceptional and still be invisible. The people making promotion decisions need to understand your impact.

Speak up. Share the win. Build relationships outside your immediate team. Make your work easy to see and your impact easy to understand. Learn to speak in OUTCOMES.

3. STRATEGY matters.
You can’t treat your career like a checklist. The next promotion isn’t always about doing more. It’s about understanding what the organization actually rewards, who influences those decisions up and across, what the business needs next.

Stop asking:
“Am I doing enough to get promoted?”

Start asking:
“Am I positioned for the promotion I want?”

If you think this sounds like manipulation, you’re missing the whole point. Corporate advancement isn’t just about doing the work, it’s about learning how to play the game well. ✨

I promise I’m not a corporate robot. 🤖

I am extremely passionate about helping women advance their careers in corporate. But I’m also just a girl who loves to spend time with family and enjoy life to the fullest. 🫶🏼

1. 👩🏼‍💼 I’ve spent the last 15 years climbing the corporate ladder.
I don’t believe in selling your soul to get ahead. But I do believe in playing the game. I teach techniques and frameworks for advancing your career while staying true to yourself.

The most powerful thing you can bring into a room isn’t your title. It’s your energy. ✨

Every time you walk into a meeting, onto a stage, or into a conversation, you have a choice.

You can add to the stress. Or you can be the person who makes the room feel a little lighter.

As a leader, people are watching more than your strategy. They’re watching how you respond under pressure. How you treat people when you’re busy. Whether you celebrate wins. Whether you make people feel seen. Whether you bring calm when things feel chaotic.

And anyone in any role can show up as a leader. The fastest way to advance your career is to act as “in the role” that you’re advancing towards.

Bring the energy you want to see more of in the world. ✨

3 things I wish I learned MUCH earlier in my corporate career.

I spent years thinking that if I worked hard, delivered great results, and had good ideas…eventually, the right people would notice.

Here are three lessons I wish someone had taught me sooner:

1. The org chart is not the real org chart. 🤯
The boxes and lines tell you who reports to whom. They don’t tell you how decisions actually get made.

Pay attention to who people go to for advice. Who has influence in the room. Who can get something moved forward. Who leaders trust when the stakes are high.

Learn the informal power structure.

2. Your work will not speak for itself. 📣
I used to think visibility meant bragging or being the loudest person in the room.

Visibility is making sure the right people understand your impact, your thinking, and the value you’re creating.

Because being great at your job and being known for what you’re great at are two very different things.

3. Ideas are only valuable when you do something with them. ⚡️
Corporate environments are full of smart people with great ideas. An idea sitting in a notebook, a meeting, or a Slack thread doesn’t create an outcome.

The people who get noticed aren’t always the people with the best ideas. They’re often the people who can take an idea and turn it into action.

So my best advice? Start learning how the game actually works. Because career growth isn’t just about performance.

It’s perception + influence + strategy.
