Conjuring up all things cultural & folklore for our Autumn's Brew Market & painting workshop @mia.kava 🪾🌙

I’m an artist from Dublin. I find endless inspiration in the magic of the natural world around me and I am fascinated by our cultural heritage and folklore.
I create mixed media pieces, as well as paintings and drawings, usually under the watchful eye of my enthusiastic art assistant AKA my little cat Nora. I sell both originals and prints.

We can't wait to have Maria joining us for our Autumn's Brew Market this Sunday September 20th in the @turks_headdub 1-6pm. Hope to see you there. taken in Dublin City Centre by @mia.kava

Last day of the Dublin Plein Air festival 😭
Another great day spent painting with my mum.
Today we were at Malahide Castle and Gardens, such a lovely place 🌸

Today was a washout but despite getting soaked, my mum and I still had a great day painting at Ardgillan Castle as part of the Dublin Plein Air Festival.
Acrylic paint has never taken so long to dry 😂

Another great day painting En Plein Air with my mum at Balbriggan as part of the @dublinpleinair.ie festival 🎨
We went through all weathers today…rain, wind and sun…and my painting flew off the easel a couple of times, and got caught by the rain showers but I decided to leave a lot of the marks on it because they are reminders of the day.
Happy accidents, as Bob Ross said 😂
And… we saw a very cute hummingbird hawk moth 😍

Painting ‘en plein air’ at the Botanic Gardens with my mum as part of the Plein Air Festival ☀️@dublinpleinair.ie
Such a lovely day!
So many artists, so many styles. I loved seeing everyone’s artwork displayed at the end.

Part 2 of my triptych ‘Éirí na Gealaí’ (Moonrise) 🌓
I like how the colours glow and change with the light.

Part 1 of my triptych ‘Éirí na Gealaí’ (Moonrise in Irish) 🌓
I was inspired by the Irish concept of the ‘otherworld’. And the idea that the ‘otherworld’ and this world can run alongside each other.
Similar to the idea of the past, the present and the future existing simultaneously.
