Introducing DFP Associate Dance Artist Mia Bourhis (@mia_bourhis), a contemporary dance artist based in Europe.Currently working with IID Dance Company, Mia is also collaborating with Nnamdi Nwagwu on his latest piece Le Prefiche. She has previously performed with Compagnie Yasaman (Paris) before joining Conny Janssen Danst (Rotterdam), where she worked on creations with choreographers including Charlie Skuy, Conny Janssen, and Sarah Adjou.Mia’s professional journey began with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s Masa Programme in Israel. She went on to graduate with first-class honours from the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London. Passionate about the intersection of dance and music, she is also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology and Composition at Sorbonne University, Paris, where her research focuses on how music can enhance dance and vice versa.Deeply curious and committed to her craft, Mia sees dance as a way to explore the human body and mind, both in conventional and non-conventional forms.
