Mia Sully × Youtopian Home

Mia found her way into our world through her vibrant art practice, where colour becomes a language for joy, emotion and connection. A New Zealand-born artist based in Melbourne, her work blends bold palettes and layered textures to create pieces that feel both grounded and dreamlike.

We visited Mia in her studio where she talks about her relationship with colour and the role art plays in bringing lightness, warmth and wonder into everyday life.

Two of Mia’s original artworks, ‘Wildflowers woven by starlight’ and ‘Woven wildflowers’, have been transformed into a limited edition woven throw blanket and cushion cover, functional art pieces designed to bring colour, texture and personality into the home.

Excited is an understatement 🌸 I am SO happy to have @mia_sully back at sedàe, painting our walls with all the colours we’ve been dreaming about.

Her latest collection, Somewhere, At Last, celebrates that feeling when you finally arrive at your favourite summer destination.

The works are on display from tomorrow, with the exhibition opening Thursday 24th September, 5-7pm. Come join us and make one of her pieces yours.

Thought I’d say a little hello to all the new faces here ☺️

I’m Mia, an artist originally from NZ now living in Melbourne. I’m completely self taught and very colour obsessed so if you love bright playful art you’ll probably feel right at home here.

Most days you’ll find me painting, juggling mum life and creating pieces inspired by colour and all the little moments that make us feel something.

Spring is on its way, and so is this little piece of me to Sydney! 🌸

I’m so excited to share that Somewhere, At Last in Spring will be heading to the Affordable Art Fair Sydney with Aspire Gallery. It’ll be my first time showing at the Sydney art fair, which feels pretty special 🩵

Feeling very grateful to be part of it all and so excited for what’s to come. Sydney, I can’t wait! 💗

Drifting into Bloom is a little ode to spring. The warmth returning to the air, the lightness in your steps and that excitement for everything still to come. It’s the feeling of a warm spring morning, when the world feels softer, brighter and full of possibility, with a peacefulness that makes you want to slow down and take it all in.
