my love letter to BMB 104

bowl and mac champions!!

This experience has truly been one of the most rewarding, fun, challenging, dedicating, and inspiring times of my life. walking into pre-camp knowing nobody and leaving from south carolina trying to wrap my head around not seeing my best friends everyday has been a whirlwind.

The most important thank you is to my dad and Tori. Thank you for never letting my fears and doubts get in the way of joining this amazing organization. Thank you for never letting me quit and showing me resilience and what it means to truly dream big.

My endless gratitude towards the bmb, guard, and @kylek_productions. Kyle, thank you for trusting me and allowing me to join such an amazing organization. You are so inspiring, especially with what you've gone through this season, and only coming out stronger and making us stronger with you.

To the seniors, thank you for an amazing season. You all light up the turf and I am forever grateful that our paths crossed. I wish you all the best in all your future endeavors and can't wait to see you all back for alumni day.

So much love to you all, bring on BMB 105. by @miaf529

Today marks my last day as an intern at Lakeland Chicago. To say it has been an honor and a privilege to work here is an understatement. I have learned so much about food brokerage, marketing, sales, relationship building, and product knowledge within the food industry these past couple of months and I am extremely grateful for everyone at Lakeland.

Specifically, I can't thank President Bryan Mears and VP Quinton Tito enough for trusting me fresh out of my first year of college to take part in their business and teach me how to apply classroom concepts into the food brokerage industry. It truly means the world to me that they saw potential in me to not only help me grow but by being open to an outsiders perspective of Lakeland, eager to listen to any ideas I had for the future of the company.

I would also like to sincerely thank Amy Connolly. Without her personal connection, encouragement, and guidance in helping me connect with Lakeland, this opportunity would not have been possible. I am equally grateful for all of my colleagues both in and out of the office. I am so happy I got to learn from you all, and share the common love of the food industry. Thank you so much for helping me grow, learn, and thrive.

During my time at Lakeland, my favorite projects included creating the Lakeland Chicago website and product flyers, going to food shows, and creating flip books and product videos. I had an amazing time being able to put my ideas to life, collaborate with my coworkers, and to expand both of our creative and technological skills within these projects to further advance the marketing side of the business. I also valued the sales calls I went on, which allowed me to gain an out-of-office perspective on how customers were able to get insight into the potential of products we showed and how they can apply it to their businesses. This process was great to experience as I was able to see the importance of my work and its attributions to Lakeland.

At Lakeland, there is a strong emphasis on "If you're not growing, you're dying", and I am forever proud of my personal and business growth throughout Lakeland and am forever greatful for this opportunity. by @miaf529
