For me this collection is the garden as self-portrait. Embodying the in between of life. Life between Ghana and Chicago, pregnancy and postpartum. From bloom to harvest. 6 limited edition prints. Each piece leans into patchwork with multiple mediums from charcoal, acrylic to oil pastel. An homage to my quiltmaking foremothers who came before me, Black mothers of the African diaspora who knew that piecing disparate things together with care is its own art.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a piece leave the studio and find its place in someone else’s home. 🤍

Every print that goes out into the world carries a little piece of the story behind it but it’s not really finished until it’s living somewhere else.

Thank you to every collector who trusted me with a piece of your walls. Watching this series grow from an idea into a real community of people living with the work has meant more than I can put into a caption.

‘Petit Flor’ Mixed media on linen. 36 x 24’.

One of the pieces from my latest selection of work that I’ll be offering as limited edition prints. I’ve spent seven years in my backyard garden learning what patience actually costs, not the romanticized version, but the raw and gritty. The kind where you water something for weeks and it still doesn’t come. Where you lose a whole season to something you couldn’t control. And then one morning there is fruit, and you understand that the loss was also part of the yield.
