whew, sooooo-
I have been avoiding posting this because I quite literally, to quote the show, don’t do sadness.
Let me start with Martha. My soul sister. Our experience made us the brave, beautiful, powerful women we are. Telling your story helps me tell mine. The dark we know well is the reason we light up the room.
To my cast members. Every single last one of you. I have never felt a love like this before. I could have never imagined how hard I would fall for all of you and your brilliance, beauty, talent, etc. This is the hardest goodbye I’ve ever had to give. This show has absolutely changed my life. Introducing me to love and laughter unlike anything I’ve ever known. You all have impacted me in a way that is making it really, really difficult to leave you and this city. From the ones who’ve been with it since day one, to the newest members on this team, I love you like family. Thank you for being the best people in the world. I’m eternally grateful. We’ve all got our junk and my junk is most certainly and undeniably you.
Now, after two years, we move on to our next chapters. It’s going to be crazy not seeing your gorgeous faces and hearing your gorgeous voices every week.
I can’t believe it’s over. Thank you. I love you.

“You’ll walk on my arm through the distant night, and I won’t let you stray from my heart.”

If you asked me in February of last year what happiness was, I couldn’t have possibly known how to explain it. Maybe I had an idea of what I wanted it to be, but I know for sure that I hadn’t known it until you.
Happiness and love were not synonymous… until you. My best friend in the whole world: thank you for bringing me laughter, joy, positivity, love, confidence, and inspiration—you, my love, are the happiness I had never truly known and will forever cherish. Being loved by you is the greatest gift. Thank you.
