My second Marathon ever! Denver Colfax Marathon ✅🏃🏼‍♀️😤 With a finishing time of 5:22, I was slower than my first Marathon in February 4:50. But with 5,280 ft elevation and an IT band injury I THOUGHT I'd healed from (🙄) it's to be expected. Honestly this was a tough one, tears during mile 16, locking in through the boring parts, but so much to see and such beautiful weather.
If you cracked open my heart you'd see my friends and family, front and center. All the encouraging texts, those who showed up and cheered, made signs, brought snacks. Thank you. I love you so so so much.

Three races in less than two months! I ran my first half marathon January 1st, my second January 17th, and then my first full marathon February 15th 🏃‍♀️ I had a great time with all 3 and exceeded my expectations.
Huge shout-out to my running partner @hemingway_the_gsd , I'm so so proud of us (and Kero I guess, he did run all 3 with you 🤣) and my biggest race cheerleaders @benheggen @ayyy_dufilho (I love you, It means the world to me).

Started off 2026 with a trail race, my first half marathon! Second one this weekend. (Ty @benheggen for the finish line pics🥳)
2025 is so hard to boil down to a handful of photos and a post. Lots of joy, lots of tears. My friends and family are so dear to me, I don't know what I'd do without them. I'm always nervous for what a new year brings, but I'm nothing if not hopeful. Lots of love in my life, and I'm grateful. taken in Austin, Texas by @miaialfonso

My first official race ever!!! Big Texas Ultra 15k this morning. It was tough but we made it 😎 and I finished 3rd in Women's! (out of a small ish group of people but still 🤣) Kerouac stole the show for sure though.
Funny how during runs I'm dying and questioning my choices and after I'm like "wow that was a great time!" all day 😄

Kentucky trip part 1: Red River Gorge and Jack Daniels. We stopped at Jack Daniels on the way up to our campsite and got a tour! 🍁🍂 Weather couldn't have been better. This was my first outdoor ropes trip in YEARS and our first time at RRG! It was incredible, beautiful, and so fun, buuuut I did get my ass handed to me (exactly like I thought I would 😮‍💨) I was not prepared lol ☠️ My endurance was terrible and weirdly my mental game was too. I genuinely can't remember the last time I felt so unsure and SCARED leading tougher routes. It just motivates me to get back out there and put in the work to rebuild that confidence.
It was a great time regardless, still climbed hard!! And we were super happy to have been able to see some friends, old and new 😁

TEN YEARS of Avery and Mia!!! 🥹💖 We went on our first "real" (as getting dinner, not just going climbing together) date a decade ago, and that was it for us.
I love you and the little life we've built together. I am so incredibly lucky and so grateful.

🌟 Officially 6 YEARS OF JOSIE! 🥰 I literally try to make this post every year, but I get overwhelmed because she means the absolute world to me. I'm grateful for every year and all the years to come. There's not a single dog I'd trade her for. I love you so so much puppy girl ❤️

Another Barn Hunt trial in the books! 🥳❤️ If you don't know anything about Barn Hunt, enjoy Josie with her ribbons!! You can stop reading here 😂😂
We didn't have the best weekend as far as Open qualifier goes (It's her first time at a new location so I expected some confusion but it was mostly my fault calling the wrong things haha) our of four she had one qualifying run but earned 1st place and High in Class! I'm very proud of my puppy and excited for our next trial in Houston! 🐀

Our very first Barn-Hunt trial! We had an overall really great weekend and learned so much. Met really lovely people as well. Some frustrations of course, but honestly sometimes that's just part of having dogs 😅 I'm so so proud of my puppy and how far we've come. She's ready for some well earned rest for sure!! (last pic)

Saturday she had two Novice runs and qualified on one of them, totally my fault for calling too early on her second one. She also qualified her first time doing Crazy 8s 🐀 🐀🏆
Sunday could have been better for sure. Josie had a couple out of character reactions to another pup while I chatted with her mom. Both our pups were stoked and Josie was being the fun police 👮‍♀️🚔
I kind of chalk it up to us arriving WAY too early 😅 like 6 hours too early. Josie was bored and high energy and very eager for her turn. Shit happens!
She did awesome on her first run that day, I was so proud of her and how clearly she alerted to the rat. Second run she found the wrong tube and totally missed the area with the rat tube. Which hasn't happened in any practices. But 3 other dogs did the same so it was interesting to see how easy it is to get tripped up!

My first GoPro Mountain games and my first NACS comp! This was such a fun week ❤️‍🔥 Even though I didn't place high in the grand scheme of the competition, I'm proud of myself and the work that I put in. Also so thankful to my friends who cheered me on, in person and from far away!!

To be totally honest, the past couple years my climbing motivation and confidence plummeted (mostly due to really poor mental health), most of my friends moved away, and I started to feel so lonely in a community that used to fuel my whole life. Finally being in a better headspace made me excited to train and have fun climbing again. Baby steps for sure.
