…I’m a homeowner. 🥹🔑🏡

If you’d told the girl from a little village in the Midlands that one day she’d buy an apartment in London after moving here at 18, I’d have laughed.

But 11 years later, with a lot of ambition, a little bit of delulu, and a refusal to ever take the easy path…I did it.

I’m still in shock that I’m somehow still here. It feels like yesterday my parents tearfully dropped me off at my very first flat share in Chiswick before my first term at ArtsEd. Ten minutes later, I was on the phone begging them to turn around on the M25 because fish and chips down here were £20, and there was absolutely no way I could possibly stay. Safe to say I picked up a few extra shifts at the pub and pulled a few more pints after that.

The dream looks a little different now than it did back then, but one thing hasn’t changed, when I set my mind to something, I go after it. I think we all knew, even then, that I was never coming back (sorry everyone!)

Life has thrown me a few lemons, flipped the script, and taken me down a path I never expected. But little by little, day by day, I’m finding my sparkle again, feeling the light break through the clouds, and building a new little life I’m so proud of.

There was never really a chance I was going to give up on the place I call home. Every challenge has taught me something, and if you know me, you know I’m not one to throw in the towel!

So it’s time to crack open the champagne… and I might even treat myself to those £20 fish and chips. 🥂✨

Here’s to doing it alone, doing it scared, and bloody doing it anyway. ❤️
