I NEVER thought I’d say this… We’re going into our SIXTH year of Homeschooling!

In these last six years I may have actually learned more than they have! 😅🤪

Not only learning about the uniqueness of who these little girls are and how they’re each wired... but even more, it’s been me growing in entrusting it ALL to the Lord.

Humbling myself to His direction and allowing Him to work through me, despite every shortcoming and deficit (of which, there are MANY).

If we’ve ever shared coffee together and talked about homeschooling, you’ll know that I often say, “Homeschooling is just an extension of parenting”… and, another opportunity to practice my faith and humility.. Every moment of every day.

Homeschooling doesn’t equate to an extra dose of “more patience”. Homeschooling for me, has meant learning to trust Him more than any area I’ve ever needed to. Ever. lol 😅🙈💕 In a world that pushes us to strive & rush towards each milestone + goal post with perfection, these girls are my best + biggest reason to slow down and simply be present.

Here’s to another year of schooling at home together. Under blankets, soaked in worship music with endless snack breaks in between. We’re learning and growing together. Me and my girls.

…What a treasure this time is. 🥹 by @miamccarty

Your “less plastic in the kitchen” era starts here. 🌿✨

A simple switch to teakwood can make everyday cooking feel like an upgrade. Beautiful to look at, easy to clean, and gentle on your favorite pans—function and aesthetic understood the assignment. 🤎

Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸 ✨

Grateful for this beautiful family of mine. For breath in our lungs, for life in our bones and the love we share. Thank you, Lord.

Grateful for family + friends. Grateful for our incredible church.

Grateful for the men + women who sacrificed their ALL… so that we could enjoy every last bit.

Our incredibly sweet, undeservingly kind and thoughtful girl turned 10 this week and my Mama heart can hardly handle it.

Ten years of you. Before you, sweet girl, we weren’t yet Mom + Dad. We had yet to navigate the uncharted waters of using our faith as parents; fighting on our knees for our babies, or ever crying tears of joy over each of your victories’. You, sweet girl are the one who upgraded us to these forever titles of Mom + Dad.

Watching you grow, flourish, persevere and blossom into this beautiful ten-year-old YOU has been such a joy. You have so many talents.. from writing + drawing to ballet + piano and more. But even more than your gifts and abilities, your pure and kind heart is what shines most of all.

Your kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness towards others challenges everyone around you. The purity of your heart towards the Lord and desire to honor Him in all you do is so genuine and sweet. You’re a great big sister, you’re our little breakfast chef and the most organized ten year old I know.

While I am so acutely aware that we’re now (likely) over halfway through your years at home… I am still eagerly (and, yes, a bit tearfully) anticipating everything about your future. I promise to continue leaning on the Lord as we navigate all of these firsts together and remind myself daily that all of this is new for both of us. Your future is bright with the Lord as your guide and your Daddy and I are so excited to continue watching it all unfold!

As we taught you to say when you were little.. “God has great plans for me (you), just you wait and see!” Happy “Big 10” Baby girl.. We love you endlessly! by @miamccarty

Our American Heritage Girls Troop is collecting LOCAL Taste of Heaven popcorn orders for ONE MORE WEEK!

Each bucket costs $20 and earns the Troop $10. We’d love and appreciate your support of any amount. ☺️

Here a few things that your donations will go to…

- AHG Swag for Troop Girls
(We’d love to gift every girl an AHG t shirt to wear when we participate in community service events. This way, it would not require extra cost for the family, and no girls would feel left out if they were unable to purchase.)

- Fun/Social Events
Each month, our troop hosts, one social event for all of the girls of the troop. These events cost less than $10 per girl. However, if we raise enough funds, we could make it so that every girl attends for free!

- AHG Program Support Fee ($20/girl x 75 girls)
Our ministry is charged this fee in January by AHG corporate.

And more!

If you’re interested in purchasing, please comment which buckets you’d like to grab and send your payment to Venmo @mia_mccarty or let me know if you’d like to meet up to pay cash or check by @miamccarty
