Meet @miaminate, one of our featured artists for Paint Memphis 2026!✨ Read on to learn more about this artist! ⬇️

"Nate Dee is a Miami-based artist, painter, and muralist known for his figurative paintings and large-scale murals. He was born and raised in South Florida, and his Caribbean American cultural background is reflected in his use of bold colors and expressive brushwork.
While studying fine arts at Florida International University, Nate honed his skills in traditional oil painting techniques, specifically in the ala prima style. Soon after he began creating large-scale murals using exterior paint and spray paint, allowing his artwork to transcend the traditional boundaries of the canvas.
Nate's work is characterized by a few different themes he actively explores... One being the explorations of a deep connection to the natural world and at times themes of environmental sustainability and species protection. He also explores the meanings and symbolism that we as people attach to certain animals, often incorporating animal masks into his figurative paintings to symbolize the relationship between the wearer and the subjective meanings attached to the specific animal. In many of his murals he incorporates elements of flora and fauna, creating dynamic juxtapositions between his subjects and the natural environment.
When creating public art Nate keeps the location the artwork lives in as a reference point... and seeks to create art that is relevant to neighborhoods and communities in which it's located.
Nate's art has been exhibited in galleries and public spaces around the world, and he has collaborated with a diverse range of clients, including corporate brands, local governments, and non-profit organizations. His unique artistic vision and technical proficiency ensure that each project is a powerful representation of his values and the client's objectives."

Make plans to come out to our paint festival on October 3rd to see them and 50 other artists bring amazing art to the walls at Summer Ave. and Broad Ave.!🎉

A mix of culture, history, and a whole lot of soul! It’s truly remarkable what Nate Dee achieved at Pinnacle at La Cabaña by creating a piece that provides a burst of energy for the entire community. His work beautifully weaves his Haitian heritage and love for street art with Greek Hellenistic drama and Art Nouveau design.

Nate intentionally leaves the meaning behind his pieces entirely open. While the colors and patterns are striking, he wants every resident and passerby to find their own personal connection to the canvas.

At Pinnacle, we prioritize our Art in Public Places initiative as a source of pride and daily inspiration for our residents. This mural is a beautiful reminder that high-quality design and soulful art belong in every neighborhood. Next time you’re near Pinnacle at La Cabaña, take a second to slow down and soak it in. We’d love to know: when you look at this mural, what speaks to you first? 🎨🇭🇹
