Today we celebrated another amazing @betterness.ai event!!

In partnership with @securitize.io and @wynwoodpadelclubofficial we hosted our second #betterstartup Wellness Experience. 🚀

Over 60 tech founders and investors gathered to play Padel, mingle, laugh, network and while enjoying incredible hand-cut 5J Jamón, paella, 🍷and great conversations. We called it #mediterraneanwellness 🤗

So many friends showed up to celebrate with us, including @martinvars @ilonapolit @marioabarajas @shervin @djen.io @mannythephysio @andywerner @lalisgaviria @gabmoralest & so many others @miamitechlife friends were there….even the wolf himself was there! 🙏 @wolfofwallst 🔥

Every morning, we wake up with a choice—how we approach the day, how we spend our time, and how we show up for ourselves and others. Today, as part of the #BetterStartup Challenge, I’m focusing on the letter E—Embrace each day with purpose.

This principle reminds me of something Steve Jobs once said: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I’m about to do?” That perspective changes everything.

Recently, I asked my daughter to gift me something @peterattiamd recommends—a sign that visually counts down the days we have left in a lifetime. Because when we truly see that time is finite, we start living with more intention.

I know so many founders who embody this mindset—getting up early and starting their day with a positive ritual, whether it’s exercise, mindfulness, or deep work, despite being very busy or facing difficult times. Shoutout to @adamgar, @chrisadamo, @crankhaus, @martinvars, @adrianacisnerosceo, @drsarahhaynes, @beajando_ @martu022 and @amartino —I see each of you making each day count and it inspires me!

Kindness isn’t just a virtue—it’s a superpower that has shaped my journey in ways I never expected.

For example, I truly believe that the Betterness Festival is happening because of the kindness I’ve extended to others over the years. In just two weeks and with zero money invested, we’ve pulled together something incredible—all thanks to the people who have stepped up with just one call or text: @matthaggman , @apoloohno , @francissuarez , @lavi.meliti , @karenguggenheim , @lexvictoriajane, @donatohelbling , @_tonycho_ , and so many more. Their generosity proves that leading with kindness always comes full circle and for a bootstrapped founder is a superpower!!!

But kindness isn’t just about how we treat others—it’s also about how we treat ourselves. Over the past year, I made tough but necessary choices to be kinder to myself—stepping away from what wasn’t aligned, cutting out regular drinking, and prioritizing real rest and recovery. These changes have completely transformed my energy, focus, and ability to lead.

For 2025, my personal wellness goals are to deepen my meditation practice and strengthen my ability to be more empathetic, present, and supportive—for both myself and those around me.

I’ve been quiet on social for a while. Sometimes, you need space to reflect, realign, and make the tough decisions that ultimately lead to growth.

One of the most powerful inspiration points for me last year was rewatching Steve Jobs’ Stanford commencement address after many years. That speech is packed with wisdom, but one line hit me differently this time:

“If you look at yourself in the mirror several days in a row and are not happy with what you see, it is time to change.”

That moment forced me to take a step back and reassess everything—how I was spending my time, who I was working with, and whether I was truly fulfilled. And I knew it was time for a change.

That shift led me to @betterness.ai as Co-CEO, where I’ve found true alignment, purpose, and partners who empower me to lead the way I know how.

Working with @boomtown_boss , @reflective_mirer, and @ash.southard has been a completely different experience—one built on mutual respect, shared vision, and trust.

Second year invited to share the @nue.life.health experience at @south.summit 🙏 This year the conversation focused on mental health in the workplace and I got to share my own experience as an entrepreneur dealing with burn out and the exciting things that are happening in the US. Especially as psychedelic therapy enters the workplace as a corporate benefit and as a tool for executive team building, where Nue Life has excited news coming.
