March 16, 2025 - Die With A Smile

A project we worked on through our Palazzo Nuremberg season. Originally inspired by this beautiful song performed each night by the incredible voices of @themissfrisky and @yamisavaofficial, accompanied by The Lucky Charms Band.

This choreo was just one of the styles that Micah and I explored each day during showcall. Training with someone that you connect with so easily means… a lot of bright ideas that get too complicated, sessions spent rigorously trying to remember patterns we just created, learning lifts, failing, laughing, trying different props/scenes/flows, warming up with silly fitness challenges and sharing our strengths with one another. It was uplifting everyday! We had absolutely no fun at all… probably some of the most I’ve laughed in my life lol

In the end, we created to this live recorded track of Die With A Smile performed by our incredible cast members, and filmed it on the very last day of the contract when we were absolutely beat after a long season of shows. Maybe not the best idea but hey, not bad for a b-boy and an aerialist!

Danced with @micahclark23 🤍

Thank you @jonetti_confetti for filming & laughing with us❤️

Jaw dropping vocals by: @themissfrisky and @yamisavaofficial ❤️

The Lucky Charms band:
@florian_donaubauer on piano
@dilleroliver on guitar
Johannes Göller on bass
Sören Pample on drums
- All absolute legends ❤️

Video edit: @juliastewart.aerialist (don’t come for my bad editing skills)

The entire 2024/2025 season of Palazzo is so memorable in my heart because of the real friendship, support and fun we had with the entire cast and crew. Thank you to the whole team and specifically @micahclark23 for being my go to each day🫶🏼🫶🏾

Big love to everyone ❤️ @palazzo_nuernberg @palazzo_casting @steffihaberl ❤️

Today as I looked up to the sky before today’s event, God said yeah it’s time ⌛️
True chemistry in dance doesn’t come along to often but when it does the earth shakes. People caught a glimpse of what things were like back in the day and felt the electricity. A lot of you may not know this but @micahclark23 and I go way back then even before some of you were born. We grew like flowers out of concrete on those very grounds at library square. I like to think that House and Funk night helped pave the way for events like this to happen on those very grounds. You are looking at the two of the few founders. All those years pouring ourselves into that concrete shot back in us 10 fold. I will never forget this! Thank you Sir 🙏🏽 by @micahclark23
