Guadalajara is cute enough. My tenth show of Jamiroquai's 2025-26 Heels of Steel tour is tonight (13th overall), followed by one and only one more. For canon, despite 3 whole days at home, this is still a continuation of my trip that began on August 25 (!). Which makes my current one the 11th hotel of the trip... 🤯!

This week, I remembered that Alicia Keys (and Kanye, producing) sampled "Let Me Prove My Love To You" by The Main Ingredient (Cuba Gooding Sr.'s band!) for "You Don't Know My Name".

A former colleague's (@warrengtravels) post just made me remember that I began my first stint at The Kennedy Center TWENTY years ago this month. Jesus actual fuck.

Pics are from 2010 and the lower may be 2011. The tux is the one I bought for seat-filling that year's Kennedy Center Honors (Oprah/McCartney year... they let you know you were chosen to sit the Friday before the Sunday taping, so I said fuck it). I was sitting for Kid Rock during the first half of the show... how fitting.

The top pic was taken during the following week because I forgot to take a tux pic at the step-and-repeat. The bottom pic exists because I made @garberrr invite me to an event he had just so I could get a second wearing out of it for all the trouble. 🤣 It's possibly the last time I wore it!

Never forget that two epic albums -- Jamiroquai's A FUNK ODYSSEY and Ben Folds' ROCKIN' THE SUBURBS -- were released in the U.S. 25 years ago today. No, really... they were both released by Epic Records lol

Fun fact: I went to Tower Records at midnight and bought both CDs. Ben's purchase came with tickets to his show that next night. It was postponed to the 14th for reasons.
