We welcome two of Naarm’s finest music collectors and ESSENTIAL pillars of the electronic music community to share songs with us at Tender - a 5 hour set, low lighting, the room set in lounge room mode. ~~ Hannah D & Liz ~~ A pairing well known for their tasteful club cuts and well loved for being mum and dad to one of our favourite local festivals, Moniker. Through Moniker, Hannah is able to share a unique musical vision as music curator, while David works tirelessly in pursuit of impeccable sound.  We can’t wait to hear how their sound translates to the Tender floor. We honestly don’t know what to expect but we trust it will be a delightful musical education.  This is not a deep listening event - guests are invited to socialise and connect, while keeping voice volumes respectful of the music. We bought ourselves a birthday present and are now suitably AMP-ed for this weekend 🥳⁠ ⁠ After some terminal faults in our previous amps, we've managed to score an amazing deal on a set of MC² E100 amplifiers - said to be the 𝑆𝑘𝑦𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝐺𝑇-𝑅 of amps - and had our Production Manager @micalizzzi install them in the venue just in time for our 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐜 birthday celebration. Thanks to @purple_audio for hooking us up.⁠ ⁠ With the upgrade, the Misc rig is sounding better than ever - with a particularly noticable roominess in the high-end, sound separation throughout the mids, snappiness in transients, and a reduction in high-freq sibilance. ⁠ ⁠ Come through from 3pm on Saturday or 7am Sunday to listen! Our Italianx made and tuned sound system is pumping better than ever ATM. ⁠ ⁠ Recent addition to the Misc team, sound system scholar David Micalizzi @micalizzzi has worked together with Alex Mraz @alexm_audio on some behind-the-scenes modifications that have significantly reduced high-end harshness, added body in the mids, and made the subs kick to your chest way harder than ever before.⁠ ⁠ For the technical nerds - a bunch of restrictive EQ put initially on the system has been removed, factory crossover settings have been programmed back in, and crucially the subs have been better phase aligned.⁠ ⁠ We're determined to get the most out of our beloved Italian-made Outline Doppia system, manufactured at the foot of the Italian alps <3⁠ ⁠ It's a tough time for venues and ongoing and there isn't really any budget going to make significant infrastructure upgrades to the rig but sound is so important to us - we're committed to keep finding DIY ways to make the sound at Misc world class. Still speechless about last weekend. I don’t really know if I’ll ever be speechmore. There’s too much to say about this place. all I know is that at end of the night, being alongside 10+ years of Gaso contributors made me realise how worth it all of this is. we are so blessed to have had this place, i’ll never forget you. A special thank you to beautiful @bby__g__ & @life.on.mas for putting the show together w me. we actually crushed it in such a short timeframe and it was so special being able to do it with my booking predecessor, mentor, all of the above Georgia. All of the artists, yeah all 35 of you - what the fuck. every set was just perfect, I have nothing more to say except there were people there that danced for 14 hours straight, and I was one of them. Lighting from @kayzar - your retina and brain is one of the most special things, and when you use it for the dance floor we are all blessed. Production from @calebostwald, you just make life easy. setting up lights, sound, everything you are able to do, you just absolutely slay it. Door people @divacharles, @ella.mcfarlanee, @d__bunk, everyone was so lucky for you to be the first person they saw on the night :’) Food by @mynameisearlll20 & @scottgreeen, we needed that sustenance. seeing every tray of fruit be devoured in the first five seconds of coming out was iconic. Everyone that took photo / video, thank you for immortalising this moment <3 @scar.ko, @eddschlaghecke, @pickupjosh + so many more A special shoutout to both Leigh & @electricgluu for their tireless efforts over the years as well. so very excited to be sharing a stage with my 🌹 next Sunday at @pitchmusicandarts ❤️ Hannah and I practically met playing back to back, it took us three years to play our first club show together (last weekend) and now we’ve been given the keys to pitch one on the Sunday for 3.5 hours 🥹 what a dream & we seriously can’t wait.. see u there by @micalizzzi
