A bit late, but happy 6 year anniversary to @sbrunni In typical fashion we chose a challenging bucket list adventure to celebrate our 8 years together (6 years married). Happy Mother’s Day to this incredible woman. She’s been an amazing parent/role model for Scarlett for the last ~7 years and has been an extraordinary mother to our little Zoë. Parenthood isn’t always easy or glamorous, but Steph has been amazing at managing the highs and lows. We are forever grateful for your love and dedication to our family. And lastly a Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there that have helped shape who we are today by @michaean

State championships number one in the books. 24/120 in the freshman girls category. It’s been impressive to watch Scarlett work so hard this year and push the limits of what she thought she could do, not only in athletics but in her academics as well. My posts have been all about Zoë lately, but this kid needs a shoutout. Not only has she been an amazing big sister, but she’s working her ass off in mostly honors classes in her freshman year.

After suffering from Covid for over a week, she finally was able to get back to mountain biking and running. Yesterday was her first race back and although I was strongly suggesting she take it easy and just ease back into it, she had other plans.

She was relegated to the back of the ~60 girl field after missing the first race and crushed the first lap to climb up to 14th place. After the 2nd lap she had made up another 3 places to finish 11th.

So proud of her tenacity and determination. Besides getting to do the things we love, I’ve always told her that sports are character defining. I can’t express how amazing it was to see her choose a difficult challenge and absolutely slay it, and I know this grit will carry over into everything she tackles in life. taken in Snowbasin Resort by @michaean

Day 4 in Ireland. #ringofkerry was amazing. These photos do it no justice, but I think we can all agree one of the best parts was getting to hold a baby lamb for €3. by @michaean

Scarlett had her first @nationalmtb race yesterday. The build up was huge and She was super excited and nervous at the same time. The weather provided an unexpected challenge on race morning - slippery/muddy trails. Scarlett made up some ground from her start position, and looked strong in the top 10. An unfortunate slide out with under mile remaining resulted in a finish she was not happy with. Despite the disappointment and the emotions of not meeting her original goal, I was so proud of her determination, passion, and confidence. With a day to reflect, we have been able to identify the positive take always from this experience and she is beyond stoked to crush the next one. Happy birthday to the love of my life! I know this last year has not been optimal, but I’m forever grateful that you’re in my (and Scarlett’s) life. You are so thoughtful, never back down from a challenge, and love living life to the fullest…maybe a little stubborn too. All traits your papa had, and I know he’s still proud of the incredible person you are. Definitely looking to better days to come and hoping the next year has some fun adventures in store. by @michaean
