Another announcement! We received funding from @aklcouncil for a ‘Local Creative Artist Initiative 2026’ 🌊🙏 We’re carrying out a year long plan to record & release three new local album LPs (currently underway!) and also put on a new public music talk series for the community featuring an amazing line up of artists 💫 6-7pm Sunday, Nov 8 - Liz Stokes / @jaywhyl33 💫 6-7pm Saturday, Dec 5 - @wonderfulprincesschelsea / Crystal Choi / Simeon Kavanagh-Vincent Hosted at @movespace_ this music talk series is free for 18yr & under and only $5 GA to attend. The topic we’ll be focusing on is ‘Navigating music after school/study’. Aiming to illuminate local artist experiences during this stage and to provide young musicians/artists more of a picture of what could come next. If you know of anyone who might be interested in coming along; high school students, university music students, up and coming artists looking to hear more about this stage - please spread the word and support so we can put on more of these! @thisteeks ‘Overdose’ Wrote this guitar sequence for Teeks one evening back living in Henderson. Crafted further into its final form together with @terenceoconnor_ @from.andre Was wanting to try create something spacious and minimal for Teeks’ voice and lyrics to be felt front and center on. Recorded on my parent’s old Ariana nylon guitar. Thanks for having me collab for this song and be part of your journey TK. #acoustic by @michael.luke.howell
