حين تكبرت الحية
في هذا العمل حاولت إعادة تخيل الشيطان بلغة بصرية مستوحاة من الأيقونات الأرثوذكسية بدلا من التخيل الاوروبي المعتاد ( رجل عادة باللون الاحمر و قرون و جناحين خفاش )

بحسب التقليد الأرثوذكسي، كان الشيطان في الأصل من رتبة الشاروبيم ( احد اشكال الملائكة ) قبل التكبر والسقوط، لذلك استوحيت منه الأجنحة الستة ( المميزة للشاروبيم ) . ولأن الحية أصبحت رمزًا للشيطان وإغوائه لآدم وحواء، جعلت ثعبانًا بستة ذيول يلتف حول الأجنحة، ليجمع بين رمزين ارتبطا بالشخصية نفسها.

العمل لا يقدم تصورًا دينيًا أو تاريخيًا، وإنما هو إعادة تخيل فنية لسؤال ظل يشغلني

كيف كان يمكن أن يبدو الشيطان لو تشكلت صورته في الفن الأرثوذكسي الشرقي بدلًا من الفن الأوروبي؟

In this piece, I tried to reimagine the Devil through a visual language inspired by Eastern Orthodox iconography instead of the usual European depiction (a red figure with horns and bat wings).

According to Orthodox tradition, the Devil was originally one of the Cherubim (a type of angel) before his pride and fall, so I took inspiration from the six wings associated with the Cherubim. Since the serpent became a symbol of the Devil and his temptation of Adam and Eve, I created a six-tailed serpent wrapped around the wings, bringing together two symbols connected to the same figure.

This work does not present a religious or historical depiction, but rather a visual reimagining of a question that stayed with me

فاكره طشاش Faded Memories

Some moments feel far away, like they’re hiding behind a fog ot glass. We try to remember them, but they slip past us. The small
details are harder to hold. What used to be clear becomes soft, like a song you know but can’t fully sing. Memories feel soft, blurry.
