If you’re searching for an unforgettable fine dining experience in Denver, Colorado, Mizuna is a name woven into the city’s culinary story.

Opened in 2001 as Frank and Jacqueline Bonanno’s intimate flagship, Mizuna celebrates 25 years this year, and experiencing it felt every bit as special as that legacy suggests.

What struck me most about Mizuna’s chef’s tasting experience was the vision of Executive Chef Michael Dunning. Every dish was uniquely composed, layered with flavor, texture and technique. His creativity and passion came through beautifully in each course, while honoring the French technique and seasonality that have long defined Mizuna.

Having Chef Dunning personally share the inspiration behind the courses made the experience even more memorable.

We paired the tasting with Mizuna’s wine pairing, taking us around the world one glass at a time, each thoughtfully chosen to complement the course beside it.

And then… tableside fire Wagyu. 🔥

The aroma, the anticipation, that first bite. Easily the finest Wagyu I have ever experienced and one of the defining moments of the evening.

Beyond the food, it was the attention to detail that felt like true luxury. From the chefs sharing their craft to the thoughtful service and our bartender’s finishing touch, we felt genuinely pampered from beginning to end.

Last week we had the joy of closing out @thegrowhaus Harvest Nights, a magical garden dinner series supporting resources to combat food insecurity and provide wellness initiatives to our Denver community.
