I came up with the name Michael’s Jam while living in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, back in 2018. Around that time, I found myself immersed in an incredible community at Gold’s Gym, DJing workouts, writing constantly, and discovering a creative side of myself that had been waiting to come out. I was covering everything from my daily life and local nightlife to sports, music, and celebrity cultureSince my initials are MJ—like Michael Jackson—I admittedly went through a brief phase where I convinced myself I might be the “new MJ.” Music has always been in my blood, and the word jam perfectly captured that passion. Looking back, Michael’s Jam became more than just a name: it became an extension of who I am. It’s a nod to the King of Pop and, who knows, maybe Michael Jenney—the future Prince of Pop, ha!As a kid growing up in Texas, part of me dreamed of becoming an artist and working in entertainment, although I was raised by grounded, level-headed parents who encouraged me to pursue a more traditional path first. In hindsight, I’m grateful for that balance—especially knowing what we know now about the entertainment industry, especially in the music worldToday, Michael’s Jam is a little bit sports, a whole lot of music, and entertainment in every form. As Britney Spears once said, “There are only two types of people in this world: the ones that entertain, and the ones that observe.” I’ve always known which side I belong on. Thanks to everyone who reads, likes, comments, DM's, etc. I could careless about how many likes appear for people to see, I see my insights and how many are viewing my content. Two years ago today I walked into @first_integrity_title DTC and met with Dawn Alexander to interview for a client relations position in the title & escrow industry. I had never heard of the business, but needed a job and an agent buddy of mine scored me an interview. I never told anyone this, but as I was driving to the interview to meet with Dawn, I almost turned around and forfeited the opportunity. Thank the lord I didn’t—Dawn hired me on the spot and the rest is history. I’m really happy and can’t stress enough how grateful, thankful and blessed I am to work for such an amazing company! I’ve always said we are corporate with an edge. Two months into my new role, I was in a weird transition housing wise and was struggling financially. Our company offers a relief program to employees going through tough times and I was fortunate enough to be granted the assistance. Two months, no hesitation at all. Anyway, two years might not sound like a lot, but for me and the challenges I’ve faced career wise while simultaneously battling an unhealthy relationship with alcohol for a good chunk of my adult life, this is a huge accomplishment 🙏🏻 I’ve also met the best people and scored a best friend out of it—Sara 😊*I found some hilarious reels Roxana and I filmed at DTC early in both our careers, poking fun and exaggerating situations* @saranuge__ @lesliehines_22 @heatherspaldingtitle #workanniversary #firstintegritytitle #workfam #denvertechcenter #cherrycreek by @michael_jenney
