Dear Rudy,

I always knew this day would eventually come to pass, but I never knew how hard it would be to say goodbye.

Ten years ago, you came into my life, just a little loaf of bread, runt of the litter. The most adorable little thing I ever laid my eyes on. From the first day we got you, you were immediately a core member of our family. As quickly as you grew attached to us, we grew forever attached to you. It’s crazy how fast time went by because before we knew it, we were both getting old and growing our grey hairs together.

Then suddenly without any warning, you let us know that it was time for you to go… and I’m still struggling to come to terms with it. I just wish we knew sooner so we could’ve spent more time together, gone on more walks, played with all your toys. I know I could’ve done more. I wish I could’ve taken you to more places, shown you more things. I know you would’ve loved that. There’s so much I want to say and I wish I could tell you now, but it’s okay. I know that you’re in a better place. No more pain. Finally at peace.

When I put my hand on your chest as you took your last breath, a part of my soul was forever taken from me. But beyond that pain, there’s a collective warmth full of the cherished memories you gave me and so many others that will never be forgotten. For that, I am forever grateful.

I love you so much, and I’ll see you again.

Your friend,

Michael by @michael_licon

Thank you, Akron!

It’s been an unforgettable two-year adventure. Thank you @zipscoachbrian for the opportunity of a lifetime to learn and be an essential part of such a distinguished group of hard-working people. Thank you to all the ladies that made coaching such a positive and enjoyable experience. I’m really going to miss you all!

It’s been a real pleasure, but I can’t wait for what the future holds!🙌🏼
