POSTS STORIES REELS

✨ Hi, I’m Michael!
I’m a wedding photographer & videographer based near Cologne, specializing in creating timeless, authentic & elegant memories for couples.

📸 I’ve been capturing weddings for years and turned my passion into a full-time career in 2024 – a decision I’m incredibly thankful for.

🌍 Planning a destination wedding? I love to travel and would be honored to tell your unique story anywhere in the world.

🏃‍♂️ Fun fact: Running helps me recharge and find inspiration – whether it’s through the countryside or during city marathons.

🙏 What inspires me: My faith in Jesus and the love stories I get to capture.

💌 Let’s create something unforgettable! If you’re getting married in 2025 or 2026, feel free to reach out. I’d love to document your most precious moments.

With love,
Michael

The last few months moved faster than I could process them.

Málaga, Lake Como, the Riviera, Monaco, Liguria, Antwerp, Tuscany, and somewhere in between a stage, a lot of airports and even more late nights. Most of it looks effortless in pictures. It rarely was.

Nobody really tells you that growth comes with trade-offs. That moving forward sometimes means letting go of things you wanted to keep, saying yes to things you would rather skip, and making decisions before you feel ready. Change doesn’t always go the way you planned it, and sometimes it pulls you in a direction you never expected.

But every place, every job and every person along the way taught me something. About work, about people, about myself.

Right now it’s early mornings, late nights and life on tour. So this is just a quick look back in between, and a thank you for all of it. The good, the hard and everything in between.

The only constant is change. On to the next chapter. by @michael_schmunk

Every step has its place.
I don’t always understand the whole picture, but I trust the One who does.

Some people are meant to be part of your journey, not your destination.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Every person teaches you something, even if they’re only meant to stay for a chapter.

Behind the Scenes 🎥

A one-hour podcast never takes just one hour.

Every project is a reminder that what people see is only a small part of the work. The planning, problem-solving, setup, and attention to detail all happen long before the camera starts rolling.

Grateful to be part of projects like this.

Football brought us together.

Different ages, different stories, different backgrounds — but for one evening, none of that mattered.

Moments like these are bigger than the result. They’re about community, shared emotions, and celebrating together.

That’s what I’ll remember most.

Portugal Vlog 5/5 🇵🇹

Sometimes all it takes is one decision.

What started as a trip became a collection of memories, new friendships, conversations, places, sunsets, and experiences I’ll never forget.

This journey reminded me that some of the best things in life happen when you step outside your comfort zone and allow something new to happen.

So here’s your reminder:

Take the trip.
Send the message.
Say yes to the opportunity.

You never know what’s waiting for you on the other side.

The best stories rarely happen when you stay where you are.

Portugal Vlog 4/5 🇵🇹

If you’re ever feeling lost, remember this song.

One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned is that not everyone is meant to stay in your life. Sometimes we spend so much time chasing people, trying to prove our value, giving our energy to those who don’t appreciate it, that we forget how valuable our time actually is.

The right people won’t make you question your worth.
They won’t make you beg for attention, respect, or a place in their life.

Sometimes growth means letting go.
Letting go of expectations.
Letting go of people.
And letting go of the need to be understood by everyone.

Instead, invest that energy into yourself.
Into your dreams.
Into your family, your friends, and the people who genuinely want to see you win.

Know your worth.
Protect your peace.
Keep moving forward.

The right people won’t require you to lose yourself just to keep them in your life.

This song reminded me of that.
