ICEBERGS CRASHING THROUGH THE PRESS. The future artist book by Peter Soriano, « DISKO BUGT » went through its text printing stage. Poems by T.S. Eliot, Coriolis formulas and bi-lingual colophons were transported to our handmade already lithographed paper with the artist’s composition.It wasn’t easy as handmade paper’s thickness varies from sheet to sheet, something letterpress despises. But expert printer Pascal Duriez surfed the problem waves all day and brought the book to shore safely.Thank you Pascal. Can’t wait to bring you another wacky challenge some day to test your expertise.Notre futur livre d’artiste « Disko Bugt » du sculpteur-dessinateur, PETER SORIANO aborda l’étape typo pour les textes. L’Heidelberg de Pascal Duriez surfa les flots de problèmes de passer une foule d’icebergs dans ses cylindres pour atterrir sur un papier fait main jamais tout à fait égal. La hantise du typographe. Merci merci Pascal, qui a ramené le livre à bon port. PASCAL DURIEZ AND HIS HEIDELBERG knocks off the title page and text part for future GEORGES ROUSSE’S artists book "CONTRE !" (Poem by Henri Michaux) we’re making right now.Its been 52 years this man and his machine have been at it together like peas in a pod.Congratulations Pascal.La partie typo du ‘livre espace’ de Georges Rousse a été terminée hier sur l’Heidelberg de Pascal Duriez à Issy-les-Moulineaux. Un projet pharaonique, pour le compte d’une société de bibliophiles, d’un livre d’artiste contenant un kit pour construire une importante installation de l’artiste chez soi. ABC DAYS were wonderful days. Thank you to the organizers. A good crowd both for the artist books and framed works, along with buyers. We even had a concert Sunday at 5pm.The location is ideal, the spirit is perfect for a small gathering of dedicated print publishers.We leave, however, the work hanging as an exhibition till July 24, from Tues-Sat 2-7pm.Long live Print.We resume our days at the Bastille with our ongoing printing of Mélanie Delattre-Vogt, Pierre Mabille, Jean-Michel Othoniel, George Rousse, Pol Taburet, Wandrille Potez, Peter Soriano, Sara Fratini, Johann Rivat, Farhad Ostovani, and Vicky Colombet.Merci à Nicolas et Clara, les organisateurs et responsables de l’Espace Topographie de l’Art pour cette réactivation de ABC DAYS, créé une fois en 2013, de rassembler des énergies actives dans l’édition d’art contemporain. ABC DAYS @topographiedelart ouvre ses portes demain à 11h. Vernissage néanmoins de 18h-21h. Samedi dimanche 14-19h. 15 éditeurs d’art montrent leurs aventures avec les artistes.On s’installe joliment dans cet espace mythique de centre ville.We’re setting up for opening day tomorrow Friday July 3. Vernissage between 6-9pm, but open to public as of 11am.
