What started of as a walk through gateway park to explore places in Windsor I haven’t seen (a lot), I ran into a road that caught my attention immediately, “The University Ave Project”. This project has been a work in progress since mid-March 2025, with residents closer to the construction feeling a sense of urgency for the work to be done and others praising the project efforts, agreeance or disagreeance on the project can find common ground in wanting to see the finished product. It is said to be finished around the fall of 2026.

Friday check-in #2
This week, I found myself thinking heavily on what my next steps are. In the past two or three months I have written notes on my plans, taken action on some & stayed still on others. I’m learning more and more to trust the vision God has given me. I can’t please everyone and a lot of the times I’ve felt myself trying to do so but in the midst of that, I was losing myself, my essence, my mind, my peace and many other things that make me who I am. Creating is one part of me but I’m more than just the camera or the microphone, I’m a human, a person still navigating traumas and past experiences that I sometimes haven’t processed and worked through fully. I’m still learning who I am because I’m still growing and I want to continually improve myself as much as I can but one thing is for sure, I’m not going to give up. I’ve always loved the grind, being doubted, seeing the look on peoples face when it does work out and right now, it’s the beginning of a new trajectory.
Much Love,
 Michael Anthony

The MH100 youth program has been in operation for over a decade and has positively impacted countless young men and women in the community. From workouts to giveaways Mehari Hagos has definitely stamped himself as an outstanding leader and trailblazer in the city of Windsor. This year the program gave away 150+ backpacks with supplies and many other items the kids would need to thrive in school. I’m very thankful to have been apart of such an incredible event! taken in Windsor, Ontario by @michaelanthony.studios

On September 3rd, 2026, a radar confirmed tornado struck in Windsor/Essex causing damage to houses, thousands to lose power, trees to be ripped out of the ground and Essex/Windsor EMS says even a few people sustained minor injuries. Residents say the sky turned green, wind speeds picked up and the storm was shortly after. Sending prayers and love to those affected by the storm 🙏🏽🤍 taken in Windsor, Ontario by @michaelanthony.studios

#FridayCheckIn || This is my first post of my Friday check ins series! Starting with some street photography from August. I really appreciated the quiet and stillness from this morning. This past month has been eventful and I’m really grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me, all reminders for me to keep creating and continue to grow through what I may not always see as huge moments because it’s not about the rush of feeling the highs of life or succumbing to the lows that are inevitable. Know they are both always there and embracing them with a level head and a loving heart. Much love,

Nobody really tells you these when you start.
But I will…
Some of them I had to learn the hard way….

1. Your camera isn’t the reason your work looks good.
You can have the best camera in the world and still make boring images.
Your eye, timing, composition, and ability to tell a story matter more than the gear.

2. Not every shot needs to be perfect.
Sometimes the shot that’s slightly imperfect feels more real than the one you spent 30 minutes trying to perfect.
Emotion will always beat perfection

3. Your style doesn’t appear overnight.
Stop trying to force yourself into a specific aesthetic.
Shoot. Experiment. Fail. Repeat.
Eventually, you’ll look back and realize you’ve created a style without even trying.

4. You’re not just capturing moments. You’re telling a story…
A beautiful shot means nothing if it doesn’t make someone feel something.Learn to look beyond what’s happening in front of the camera. The best creators don’t just show you what happened. They make you feel like you were there.

5. You have to create when nobody is watching.
There will be days when nobody likes the post.
Nobody shares it.
Nobody notices.
Create anyway.
The work you make in silence is what eventually gets people’s attention.

6. Comparison will kill your creativity.
There will always be someone with a better camera, more followers, better locations, or more experience.
Your job isn’t to beat them.
Your job is to become undeniable at being you.

7. Stay creative. Trust your intuition.
Not every idea needs to make sense to everyone else.
Sometimes your best work comes from following an instinct you can’t fully explain.
Don’t let trends, opinions, or the fear of being different silence your creative voice.
Your intuition is part of your style. Trust it. by @michaelanthony.studios
