Our second record Quiet Quitter is out everywhere today.

In late 2022 we packed up our gear and set out to Rylstone, a small town in the NSW Central Tablelands about 3 and half hours north-west of Sydney in the hope that we would spend an entire weekend writing an album. We ended up only using one song from that, which was In The Meantime.

It was the first song we ever wrote as a band and it was the first song that we ever finished together. We then wrote the entire thing over two years between our wooden shack studio in Waterloo in a warehouse run by a madman, and then our upgrade to a fully soundproofed room in Leichhardt that happened entirely by chance. We worked hard, disagreed many times, had clashing schedules, full-time jobs and almost anything else you can think of that almost made us think we would never get this shit done but we actually did it and are so fkn proud of ourselves for it.

We cannot thank Simon Berckelman and @goldenretrieverstudios enough for the incredible opportunity to record an album in arguably one of the best live recording spaces in Sydney. We are so grateful for Simon’s passion for music, encyclopaedic knowledge of tape machines and just about anything else gear-related, and more than anything, his unbridled honesty and his desire to push us as hard as we could to make something special. It made our album sound better and it made us all better musicians.

Finally, to everyone that listened/played our songs this year, came to a show, bought a vinyl, took photos, helped us with content, asked us about how the record was going, liked, commented or shared a post about us, just know we love you and will see you soon. You make this band more than you know.

We hope you love listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it

Back on the boog for the first time since I ruptured my ACL in June 2021.

I love how these setbacks can make you reset and appreciate the little things, and it's even better sharing these moments with mates. Thanks for the board @bdcohen and thanks for the morning Mapo.
