actual heaven-sent boulder

Two move boulder, the difficulty of both moves is quite dependent on reach. I've heard a lot of people say the second move is harder than the first, but for me, its the opposite

For the first move, you want to pull yourself into the wall so you have time to grab the next hold. You'll still have to jump for it, but when you jump, DO NOT try to jump towards it. Instead, you want to jump as upwards as possible, which will give you better swing to reach the next hold. Also, when you finish the swing and go to the next hold, you want to also kick the wall so you have a bit more leverage. It helps a lot

Second move for me is a lot easier, just requires a lot of commitment. You HAVE to put both feet on the foot holds to jump at the right angle but other than that, the holds you jump to are pretty good. Once you grab the first two, you should have a pretty large amount of time to then go for the finish hold

The only problem with the boulder is that the first move will go through your skin quite quickly after many repeated attempts, but you can definitely try it for like an hour before moving on. Once you stick the moves though, it feels amazing. Everybody will be watching too so you get hella aura

Real ones know I posted this 2 days ago

Sent this before the grades got revealed and I felt that it was a V7, to my surprise I found out that it was actually V8. In my opinion this climb is definitely quite soft, especially if you have tall reach, which makes a couple moves a lot easier. Even still, it's only the really bad starting foothold and the big reach to the volume that are hard, the rest of the holds are pretty good and they're not that far. It still is a pretty powerful problem though, don't be surprised if your forearms get pumped

Also, those tick marks on the volume were made by yours truly. You're welcome in advance

This is not as easy as I make it look

Basically all of the V8 difficulty is in that first move. The main problem with this boulder is the starting holds are very hard to generate any power off of, and the rest of the dyno requires fast and specific movement that will all take some time to get used to.

BETA FOR THE DYNO: Firstly, make sure the starting holds are brushed at least somewhat properly, its very useful for when you practice. For the first jump, I sink low so that I can get more pull into the wall, which is very important for the next part. Once I grab the first hold around the top part(the optimal spot), I need to pull in hard again to get my hips back into the wall. At the same time, I reach for the next hold and swap feet, making sure to kick into the volume with my left foot. When you reach the end position, you are prone to your left foot or left hand slipping due to the swing you need to control and the slopeyness of all the holds. This all has to happen in maybe half a second, so you can see why it's graded the way it is.

Also rest in peace to my shoes, who took so many attempts of this boulder the rubber ripped. I almost succeeded the boulder by replacing the broken shoe with a rental. That would have been funny

the slopers aren't that bad
Feels like this climb starts off with two low percentage moves and the rest of a climb is static, so it's hard to fall if you know what you're doing. Those two moves are low percentage due to the steep ass volume, which takes a while to get used to. I probably could've swung out less on the second move if I didn't try this climb for like 3 hours

Also fun fact a group of comp kids was also trying the climb that day, and they all got it in around 30 minutes. It's actually inspiring how fast they learn these boulders, I hope one day I can learn and send boulders as fast as they do

Shoutouts to everyone recording me trying this climb, I went through about 3 or 4 different people trying to send it

Way faster than I expected lol
Lowkey I feel its a bit soft for its grade, but its not that big of a difference. Apart from the end the rest of the climb goes pretty smoothly.

BETA FOR THE LAST MOVE: This will most likely need to be adjusted for your body structure, but here's how I do it.
When I'm looking at the last hold, on my peripheral vision there's a line where the two wall tiles meet. The goal for me when jumping up is to keep that line in my peripheral vision, meaning I jump trying to follow that line as close as possible.
Again, this works for me due to my arm length, you might have to find a different reference point or something else, but the general goal is to jump straight up, not towards the hold. Also, PRACTICE the last move until it becomes consistent, you'll need it.
As a final note, you have to commit of course. Lean a bit back and you barn door for sure. Don't try to raise your right leg up to try to balance, you'll swing out too.

Anyways yall fw my haircut
Good slab though would recommend thanks setters

pushing my strength limits
You can see how I struggle on the top of this climb. I literally just came in the gym to send this boulder and leave lol

This dyno takes SO LONG to get consistent
It looks like I did this pretty easily, but the holds are pretty slopey, the feet can and have slipped off easily, and I've never done a move like this before, so it was a lot of work to learn and master it.
The beta I ended up having for this was to pull in hard (of course) and then do a little jump on the intermediary foothold so I wouldn't overshoot the landing. Then its a quick footswap, and if you're not falling out from the wall too much, you should be able to stick it.
I've seen different betas, one where you toehook the underside of the volume, and matching hands, neither of which felt as intuitive as my beta. Very hard dyno, idk how this was only graded a V7. The rest of the climb is pretty chill though
Shoutout to @ken.cine for the awesome videography and putting up for how exactly I wanted this climb to be recorded. Bro even pulled out the professional camera props to him

First V9 @we.are.klimat
Honestly didn't really expect to go for a V9 anytime soon. The current V8s and even V7s in the gym were hard enough for me to pour sessions of effort into, and I was content with working on those. It's only because I saw someone's beta that I got the idea to try it myself, just to see if I could.
Learning it wasn't bad, the footholds aren't good, but I knew that worrying about them is a big hindrance. It's the last move that is the crux for sure. Forced into a press position and with no other handholds but the finish that was just out of reach, I didn't see any way out until that same someone came over and showed me the last move again.
In the end, it took me less than two sessions to send it on video. Definitely a soft V9, but maybe because I reached on some moves lol
Here's to many more and harder V9s in the future

Pretty chill, somehow a V8. It's good sloper practice. Go ahead and steal my beta if you want to

Honestly really easy but its so fun
Forgive my poor technique, I was tired and did this end of session. I do look like I don't know how to climb lol. Almost like... Michael cannot climb 🗣️🔥
Hope you enjoyed me actually putting video editing effort on this one, it was pretty cool watching it all come together

You cannot say no to the bat hang. Cutting feet on two crimps is a little sketchy but there's never been a climb where I don't put my waiver on the line. Honestly that just makes me have more respect to the people who can climb more controlled than me. I hope to get more strength in the future

free-ish V8 i guess
Took a break from my other V8 project to give this a try, powerful climb with blocked crimps. A bit hard to figure out the beta, but once you have it, the climb really isn't that pumpy, as it happens with most other powerful climbs
