Songwriters what’s your process in riff creation? What do you look or feel for when writing em? Me personally I feel for a flow kinda like skateboarding. Growing up skateboarding it feels good to build a line out of different tricks you have in your bag. So my thought process is how can I replicate that good feeling of accomplishing a line that not only hits with percussive pops but also cuts through a mix. My groove is the simple fact that I’m just riding my skateboard, the Floyd hits, whammy pedal hits, or scratches are me popping a per se shove it or a kickflip in my line. If you’ve read this far you may be the missing link 🤣 I’d love to hear your process. by @michaelcironi
