Officially a member of @actorsequity.

The stage never asked me to be anyone but myself. I answered with everything I had.

I didn’t get here by luck.
I got here by showing up, even when no one else was watching.

By believing in my purpose when it would’ve been easier to quit and “just get a real job.”

By saying “No” to anything that didn’t speak to my soul.

By refusing to water myself down or shrink to fit inside someone else’s playbill or callsheet.

By tuning out industry gatekeepers who said, “You’re too tall. You’ll never be a leading man.”

And instead, choosing to stand in my light, center stage, on my mark.

I didn’t beg. I didn’t chase trends.
And I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Audition by audition.
Monologue by monologue.
Scene by scene.
Show by show.
Rejection by rejection.
Thousands of them.

I’ve built this acting career my way. On my terms.
And I’ve got the best team in the world beside me.

My heart has felt so heavy in every quiet moment I’ve had alone to myself this entire week just trying to process my own grief and make sense of the sad news about the passing of my close childhood friend @hollynoel_fineartistry from colon cancer.

I’ve known Holly since kindergarten. We grew up together up until junior high school and had many of the same friends before I had to move away to live with my mom and my sisters an hour away and change schools. She moved to New York City a few years after I had done so and there was always something so fantastic about living in one of the greatest cities in the world knowing I had a close childhood friend within close proximity to go do fun things with any time, and to lean on for support and friendship in such a beautiful, yet brutally difficult city to live in. I loved seeing Holly make new friends in the city from within my friendship circle, and I loved the new friends I made in the city from her circle too.

No matter how much time passed in between meeting up to hang out and see other in person whenever we could, we kept in touch frequently, stayed close friends, had a damn good time every time, and consistently lifted each other up.

Holly was an incredible artist, such a good soul and wonderful energy to be around, and she was loved by so many great people around her. It was always so easy to pick up where we left off in each other’s lives each time. I’m grateful for all the moments and conversations we got to have and the difficult times she helped me get thru to the other side.

Our time here is so limited and life is so fragile, man. Love on your people and show them how much you care. Support each other’s endeavors. Create fun experiences together. Say “Hell Yes” to exploring new things together you normally wouldn’t otherwise. Lift each other up. Ask each other for help. Hang out with each other more frequently than you do right now. Call each other more. Hug each other a little tighter, a little longer. You never truly know when it will be the last time you’ll see them.

Rest well, Holly. I sure will miss you, friend. 💔🥺🕊️

The most expensive thing you’ll ever own is a dream, ambition, or creative endeavor you never chased.

Regret compounds faster than anything you’ll ever invest in.

You got one life and one melody, and somewhere within you is a sound ONLY YOU can make.

Maybe your music is a business. A book. A painting. That feature film or tv series. The class you’re meant to teach. The company or product you haven’t launched.

Or maybe it’s the thing you’ve talked about for ten years and still downgraded to a hobby just so it would hurt less to ignore.

But, waiting feels safer. So you never create. You never pick up the pen to write. You never pick up the brush to paint. You never post. You never share the gifts, talents, and knowledge you were entrusted with.

Comfort pays nothing and costs you everything. The world adjusts to your silence immediately.

Season 44, Episode 1 🥂✨🥕🎂🍉

Another loop around the sun, another invitation.

The humbling truth is that I’m a constant work in progress, held together and made richer by people who’ve decided to love me despite the evidence. That undeserved grace is the closest thing to the divine I’ve found in my lifetime thus far.

To everyone who follows me here, checks on me, champions my work, holds me accountable as a man and as a father, lifts me up when life gets too heavy to carry, and puts up with my nonsense and stays anyway, I’m the lucky one.
