Growing up in Wilkes-Barre, I was never expected to be the “college kid.” People like me aren’t always handed easy opportunities or told that success is waiting for them. There were times when my back was against the wall and quitting would’ve been the easier choice, but I stayed true to my vision, kept my faith in God, and continued to push forward with a kind heart. Through hard work, resilience, and believing in something bigger than myself, I not only pursued education, but excelled and even got 2 degrees while I was at it even when the odds said otherwise. Looking back now, God has taken me places I never imagined possible, proving that where you come from does not decide where you are capable of going. I had 3 guardian angels watching over me and friends and family who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. This isn’t my accomplishment, it’s ours. It took a whole village to get here, and I would be nothing without you guys. Mikey Wilkes-Barre out.✌🏼💙💛#EverythingforPrince #EverythingforParis #EverythingforPaul by @michaelfb21
