Taking action, in the neighborhood, everyday! Be bold, leverage community assets, coordinate finite resources, and lead with action!

Thank you friends and neighbors who shared our content, voted in this election, and supported us near and far! It has been the honor and privilege of my life to run for mayor. So, what’s next? Helping our new mayor go above and beyond “the basics” by 1) Enacting the “City In a Park” transportation initiative to restore the Olmsted Parks system and remove two urban highways. 2) Make our local elections more democratic by enacting voter reforms through our upcoming charter review process. This is profoundly impactful on our local government. Neighbors, we are just getting started! Let’s keep up the good fight together and please help share the word about these important issues affecting everyone in our community. Onward and cheers! #buffalony #restorebuffalo #buffalomayor #takeaction #buffalove #buffalo #buffalocityhall #michaelgainerformayor taken in Buffalo, New York by @michaelgainerinbuffalo

I’m Michael Gainer, and I’m running to be your next Mayor! A short history for you: When we started Buffalo ReUse back in 2006, we were determined, focused, and diligent. We had a vision and transformed it into reality with passion, creativity and hard work. We inspired and mobilized the resources of community groups, philanthropies, volunteers, and state government to create an incredible asset for our community. This is the spirit that I will bring to City Hall as the next Mayor of Buffalo. Get involved and join our effort! www.michaelgainerformayor.com.

Upcycled Puppetry Week is complete! Every time I look back on photos, I’m always amazed at what we are able to accomplish in five short days. Puppets are great fun, the children made upcycled butterflies and horse marionettes. They were able to learn a little bit about storytelling through puppetry, and had a lot of fun doing it. So grateful that we’ve been able to have such a full and fun summer together with wonderful kids. Only one week left! 🥲 Thanks to all the parents who help their children be prepared each day for adventure and play! What a kind bunch too. ❤️🌈🌻 #rainbowhouseschool #summercamp #buffalony #alternativeeducation #playlearngrow taken in Delaware Park Rose Garden by @michaelgainerinbuffalo

Picnicking in the treehouse like storybook children… tiptoeing through fairy trails in faraway lands. Summers are for frolicking and adventure… have to add a bit of whimsy too. 🏰🌈🧺🌱 this is how memories are made magical. #rainbowhouseschool #buffalony #summercamp #alternativeeducation taken in Buffalo, New York by @michaelgainerinbuffalo

Week Three of Rainbow House Camp was delicious!! We splashed around, ate frozen smores, picked blueberries at @thorpesorganicfarm , learned about moths at @pelionchs , swam at the beach and took in a bit of history while cruising through the Lockport locks!! What a full and fun week. We have 4 MORE weeks of summer camp left and only one week is at max capacity, so if you would like to sign your child up for camp send us a message to check for availability! Camp runs until August 21st. taken in Buffalo, New York by @michaelgainerinbuffalo

We were able to stay safe and get some adventure in today by visiting the botanical gardens! The children brought sketch pads and enjoyed themselves greatly. What a peaceful, beautiful place we have here in the city. 🌱🌵🌈 #rainbowhouseschool #buffalo #alternativeeducation #summertime taken in Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens by @michaelgainerinbuffalo

First day of summer camp complete! Our theme this week is “Express Yourself”. One camper declared on the van ride home from our splash pad trip, “this is the best camp I’ve ever been to, I feel like I can be myself here.” Well that sums up exactly the feeling and culture we have worked to create over the years. Fun and a safe space to be creatively yourself. Some camp spots might be available over the next few weeks, so feel free to message us with any inquiries! #rainbowhouseschool #alternativeeducation #summercamp #buffalony by @michaelgainerinbuffalo
