Body dysmorphia is a crazy thing.

Most of my adult life, I was 160lbs. Then life hit hard, metabolism crashed, and I ballooned up to 220lbs — a fat f*ck, no excuses.

Eventually, I dropped down to 190… but it was just skinny-fat, no real muscle. Hit the gym hard, shredded down to 159 in 2 months. Looked like a skeleton with some muscle on it — happy as hell, started eating and drinking like an idiot, shot back up to 210.

For years after that, I hovered around that weight, completely blind to how bad it looked. Only now, looking back at old photos, I realize how far gone I was.

The last three years, I’ve been locked in. Training “no matter what.” The last year — eating almost clean.

Today — sitting at 187lbs.

People tell me I’m jacked af — and they’re right. I earned every vein, every cut, every pound of muscle.

Still, body dysmorphia likes to creep in. But f*ck it — I know exactly who I am and how far I’ve come.

When I walked into Lift ATX today — our local Mecca of Greek gods and goddesses — I caught a glimpse of myself and thought:

“Not bad right?! I’m not just surviving out here) I’m standing tall with the best of them.”

Progress is slow. Self-perception is messy. But the work? The work is undeniable. And there’s a lot more work ahead…
