Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

10% of the U.S. population (including me) have some Irish ancestry but 60% celebrate the holiday by such things as the “wearing of the green” which began as a symbol of rebellion against England. States with the highest percentage of Irish folks are New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

The shamrock (a three leaf clover) was used by St. Patrick to explain the Holy Trinity as he converted Ireland to Christianity. Did he really drive the snakes out of Ireland?

Slide 4: 99 cents yogurts with Apricot Mango and Egg Nog great.

Slide 7: Fresh pasta including butternut squash ravioli.
Slide 8: Fish Nuggets are 20 times better than standard fish sticks.

I checked out the Ghirardelli Chocolate & Ice Cream Shop near the Santa Monica Pier. You can fill a bag from bins of many flavors of squares. My favorites are the White Chocolate Caramel squares and Lava Cake squares.

I also had a sea salt caramel sundae.
#ghirardelli was founded in San Francisco in 1852 by an Italian immigrant and is now owned by Lindt.
