@birdsoftokyo at Roche Estate yesterday. I’ve missed festival crowds, here’s to many more this summer 🤘 by @michaelhardy__

Stoked I get to do this shit often at the moment. Pic by Luke Morgan who doesn’t have social media but is a legend of a human.

I learnt more about myself in the last 3 weeks then I have probably in my whole life. These guys mean everything to me and I can’t believe I’m so lucky.

First shot was yesterday. 2nd shot was 4 years ago almost to the day. Here’s to another 4 or 20 years or 420 years (you know what I’m saying right)

A few people have asked me what gear I'm using on this Violent Soho run and it's a pretty good opportunity to shout out the companies that I'm very proud to be endorsed by. So here goes (this ones for the nerds).

Cymbals:
@zildjianaustralia thanks for everything. From Right to left:
- 15" K Sweet Hi Hats
- 18" A Custom Crash
- 18" K Sweet Crash
- 23" K Sweet Ride
- 20" K Paper Thin Crash
- 20" K Custom Special Dry Crash

Drums:
@ludwig_drums_australia thanks for being the first company to properly back me many many years ago.

- 14x6.5 Black Beauty Snare
- Ludwig Classic Maple Kit (13, 16, 18, 22)
(I'll probably go up to a 24" kick soon)

Skins:
@remopercussion I love you <3

- Coated Control Sound on snare
- Toms are clear emperors
- Kick is a coated P3

Sticks:
@vicfirthaustralia the best there is!
55A's

Hardware:
Pearl hardware til I die. It’s all just the best quality stuff they offer and I can’t think of anything else I’d rather be playing.

I'm also using a bunch of stuff from @roland_aus which sends time code to @lukeboerdam's pedal board so we can synchronise delays. It also triggers off a bunch of different samples at different parts of the set which add a bit more depth. It's chaos but it's fun and keeps me busy.

Eternally grateful to the people who set this shit up every day and make sure it all works smoothly. I'm having the time of my life! by @michaelhardy__

Pretty cool that my band mates are also my best mates. Thanks for a very special weekend Sydney. Looking forward to Melbourne.

This snap was at the Mansfield Tav a couple of weeks back before the first Soho show back in many years. by @michaelhardy__
