There are three kinds of people I work with.

The Creative — pouring their spirit into content, art and creation. Giving it outward to an audience, daily, without pause. Building something real — while quietly running on empty behind it.

The Yogi — already on the path inward. Already feeling the practice bring them close to something. But something beneath the surface — older than the practice — still hasn't moved.

The Facilitator — the yoga teacher, the therapist, the coach, the breathwork guide. Giving their presence, their hands, their care to everyone in their room. Holding space for other people's breakthroughs. And driving home empty. I know exactly how this feels.

Three different paths. One shared experience.

They give. Deeply, generously, beautifully. And they have never truly learned to receive.

Not deeply. Not without feeling like they should be offering something back.

This is what the work is for. Not to fix anything. Not to perform wellness.

To create a space that is safe enough to arrive exactly as you are — and unconditional enough that nothing you bring will change your place in it.

Which one are you? 👇

Mantra Meditation Community Group

When: Sunday fortnightly at 6:30pm.

Location: Space To Move @spacetomove

Bhakti - the Yoga of Devotion

This act of devotion originated some 2,500 years ago in India as a way for yogis to commune with God by chanting the names of the Divine, specifically Hindu gods and goddesses, such as Ram, Kali, Rama, Shiva, Durga, Krishna, and Lakshmi.

Mantras are words, phrases, and syllables that are repeated until they become integrated into the chanter’s consciousness.

These mantras, when chanted with intention and feeling, have all sorts of health impacts, along with spiritual attainment (self-connection)

Long-term chanting has effects on anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic pain.

It also improves your mood on a day-to-day basis and helps switch from a negative to a positive state of mind. Here’s some other benefits mantra-chanting has:

Benefits:

◽️Build resilience and strength
◾️Increased calm and peace
◽️Enhanced self-awareness
◾️Deepened intuition and creativity
◽️Improve focus and concentration

How a group session runs:

⚡️We’ll start off by chanting ‘Om’ to focus ourselves and to connect with Nad Yoga (Yoga of Sound and Vibration)

⚡️We’ll then sit with 2 or 3 mantras, chanting these together with intention.

⚡️When you feel you can lean a little further into the chant - please do.

⚡️You’ll receive the benefits back in the sense of greater liberation of the mind, more opening of the heart, and a greater feeling in self.

⚡️We’ll close by chanting ‘Om’ and sit in meditation to absorb the energy.

This is a non-religious group and everybody is welcome. No musical or singing experience necessary.

Donations are welcome for the event, each donation goes towards keeping the group going.

Are you all ready to chant? Let’s get to work.

My word, I've bloody loved this Buddhism stuff. It's only been 5 weeks, but the teachings have been incredibly profound.

More a Sect than a Religion, Tibetan Buddhism seems to be a teaching of great simplicity where the ruling aim is to understand ones own suffering in order to dive into the path of Enlightenment.

My main question was one of Desire, with the will to understand why a person might fall prey to such a strong, and potentially life-destroying emotion. Understanding how a simple thought can slowly bring one to the path of substance abuse, addiction and harmful behaviour.

Desire is a hell of a drug. Learning the tools to not only combat this, but to understand where the root cause of the suffering comes from has been vital. Getting to the root cause of any and all suffering is at the heart of Buddhism, which is an area modern medicine seems to be lacking.

Meditation is growing strong. Inspiration is deepening. Can not recommend 'Cave in the Snow' enough - fascinating read.

Might need a few more weeks until Levitation is within grasp, but my word is this helping point in the correct way.

Also, got a bushy rabbit head going on. Not cut it in what feels like years. Watch out for these luscious throws of brown on the highway to the Truth.
