Happy 20th Birthday to sweet Izzy 🤍

Getting to be your mom… and growing up while raising you… has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Watching you this past season has made me more proud than I can even put into words.

What could have tried to take you out… God is using for your purpose.
And you don’t run from the hard things… you lean in.
You get quiet.
You find Him in it.

I’ve watched Him shape you, steady you, and strengthen you in the most beautiful ways.

You are becoming so sure of who you are…
so grounded in who He created you to be…
and so willing to use your voice and your story to help others.

Seeing you step into this next season at Beach Church, finishing school, and pursuing your heart to become a therapist and help other young girls… it just feels like everything is coming together with purpose.

There is just something so special about the way you keep choosing God in every season…
that’s who you are.

Happy birthday to my amazing, beautiful, fierce, talented daughter @izzyymoonn. Words do not begin to express how proud I am of the way you lean into life and grow and sink roots into the things that matter and let go of things that don’t. You are in the middle of a beautiful chapter and I’m forever grateful to be in it with you. Our relationship is truly a gift and we can look at each other and smile with no words and know that we both see it both truly appreciate it. Love you boo… you just keep on being you. We asked one simple question…
“Give me two words to describe Michael Munn.”

What came back?
A lifetime of love… through the eyes of his kids—from birth to blended—and even his grandbabies. 🥹

Make sure you stay to the end for JoJo… because her answer might just be my favorite (and yes… it may include me 😂).

He had no idea this was coming.
And the second video… of him seeing it for the first time… let’s just say… 💔➡️❤️

60 years of life.
A legacy of love.
A man who shows up—for his family, every single time.

Spring Break at Moon Mountain — Year 4.
And this one started in the sweetest way.

This trip is the Christmas gift we give our kids every year — our blended family spring break tradition. And this year we were also celebrating Michael turning 60.

We spent the afternoon wandering through the little town of Helen, Georgia and ended up at a beer garden where a local musician was playing.

Somehow (which will surprise absolutely no one who knows him 😂) Michael ended up playing lead guitar with him while we were all nearby playing the giant outdoor chess game.

Then something even sweeter happened.

The musician asked Michael if he wanted to sing a song.

By that point everyone had wandered off doing their own thing — shopping in little stores, walking around town.

But the moment Michael started singing “Cover Me Up”…

One by one the kids started hearing his voice from across the street and came walking back.

Right in the middle of the video you can see them crossing the street, realizing Dad is up there singing.

It was one of those completely unplanned moments that just felt really special.

Michael turning 60.
All the kids together.
Music playing in the middle of a little mountain town.

And somehow that was only day one of the trip.

It ended up being one of the best trips we’ve ever had together.

Sometimes the sweetest memories are the ones you never plan. ❤️

Day one of vacation with our blended family — and the grandbabies🩶

And somehow…
✔️ Two contracts
✔️ Two properties under contract
✔️ One new Atlantic Beach listing

All in the last 24 hours.

Honestly, I 1000% recommend going on vacation.
This happens every time. 😂

Help wish a big 60TH happy birthday to the only @michaeljmunn there could ever be! 🥳 I’ve been around for over half of those 60 years, we have seen many roads together and I can say that you’re many things: smart, silly, discerning, loving to a fault, clumsy as we all are, packed with movie quotes. You’re a great dad and friend, I will always be thankful for you in my life but now, this chapter of where you are a Pop Pop - well, that’s it my friend. That’s the heart of life right there. 🥹❤️ You’re not done yet, 60 is the new 37 and you have so many adventures ahead. We love you Dad! February 21, 2019.

After two and a half years of walking through a divorce…
it had just finalized days before this night.

I walked into a Top Producer party at my broker’s house feeling uncertain.

I almost didn’t go.

I texted my office Life Group friends all day.
“I’m not coming.”
Sent outfit pictures.
Changed my mind.
Changed it again.

At one point I even said,
“I don’t know why I care so much what I’m wearing… it’s not like I’m going to meet my husband there.”

God must have smiled.

A sweet friend picked me up and drove me the ten blocks so I wouldn’t bail.

And as I walked in…
Michael Munn ran past me carrying a guitar.

He had been my inspector for years.
We were friends. That’s it.

That night he sang.
Apparently he kept saying my name in the songs.
I pretended not to notice.

On his break he walked straight up to me and said,
“Tansy Moon, I hear you’re single and so am I. I think we should go on a date.”

I told him I wasn’t dating until my girls were done with college.
They were in middle school and high school.

He didn’t argue.
He just stayed.

He offered me a ride home.
Made a “quick stop” at Ragtime.
There was a slow dance.
And then the first kiss I’d had in three years.

I said something ridiculous like,
“And there that is.”

When he dropped me off, I accidentally said,
“I love you, Michael Munn.”
(I say I love you to everyone.)

He ran back up the steps and said,
“I love you too, Tansy Moon.”

It escalated quickly. 🤍

Seven years later…

We’re married.
We built a home.
We blended a family.
We’ve grown.
We’re still growing.
We have grandbabies.

And my girls have a dad who fought for their hearts.

He chose them.
And they chose him.
But God chose this for us.

I said no.
Over and over.

But that man fought for me.
Fought for my girls.
And God wrote a story I never could have scripted myself.

Who knew that showing up would change everything?
God did.
