Sitting at the airport about to head home after an incredible week in Bermuda celebrating 15 years of marriage.

Feeling incredibly grateful for the life we’ve built together, the three amazing kids we’re raising, and 15 years filled with more memories than I could ever count.

And a very special thank you to my in-laws and our friends who took on the colossal undertaking of holding down the fort while we were away—caring for our kids and schlepping them to hockey rinks, fields, gyms, and the roughly 10,000 activities they somehow manage to be involved in. We truly couldn’t have done this without you.

What can I say about Jenna? She’s part of a friend and family group that’s trusted me to document their biggest moments since 2016. At every wedding, Jenna would be there with that huge smile and fun personality, and I’d always find myself wondering, “When’s her turn?”

Then this past July, while photographing her brother’s wedding, I finally met the guy who swept her off her feet.

James is calm and kind. He’s funny, but in that quiet, unassuming way. And the two of them just make sense together.

A couple of days ago, I headed to Atlantic Beach to photograph their engagement session and, as you can see, they absolutely crushed it.

I’ve loved getting to document this family over the years, and I can’t wait for Jenna’s turn next year.

And for my photographer friends: this was my first shoot photographed entirely on the Leica M11-P—an all-manual rangefinder. I’m officially hooked. Love my Leica.

There are some weddings that are hard to put into words because every part of the day just keeps getting better. Timothy & Kevin’s wedding in Newport was one of those.

They started the day together at Hammetts Hotel, getting ready side by side and helping each other with the final touches before we headed out around Newport for photos. From there, it was over to Belle Mer, where they revealed their looks to their closest friends and family before the ceremony.

And what a ceremony it was — emotional vows, a musical performance, plenty of laughter, and more than a few happy tears.

Then came the party.

Tim and Kevin brought their own version of a Ball to the reception, and from that point on, the energy never let up. The dance floor was packed, the celebration carried straight into the after party, and by the end of the night there were wigs, props, and absolutely no signs of anyone slowing down.

It was joyful, emotional, completely over the top in the best possible way, and one of those weddings we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Sometimes, the universe has a funny way of bringing people together.

Not long ago, I was driving through my neighborhood when I spotted Emily & James, a past couple of mine, walking with their children. Completely shocked, I pulled over to say hello and learned they had just moved to New Canaan — right around the corner from me.

Shortly after, James’ brother Will and his fiancée, Jessie, reached out about their wedding. Coincidence? I think the universe was trying to tell me something.

This past weekend, it all came full circle at Indian Harbor Yacht Club. Jessie & Will were married beneath impossibly blue skies, followed by a boat ride along the Greenwich coastline after an emotional first look and beautiful ceremony.

A beautiful day and one I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of. #MichaelJustinStudios
