What is a dry cut, and why get one with Kanyon?

Wet hair stretches, curls shrink, and cowlicks hide until the next morning. The Dry Cut meets your hair where it’s at: the shape is read in your hair’s own movement and cut dry, for sculptured, seamless shapes with invisible layers that follow your head shape and natural growth patterns. No chunks, chops or steps. Hair that performs for you, so that every day is a good hair day.

Plenty of stylists took the weekend course. Kanyon took the apprenticeship: years at John Sahag’s side, in his salon and on set.

Thirty years behind the camera. Now behind the chair.

Michael Kanyon spent years as John Sahag’s protégé, in his salon and on set, before building a career in editorial, television and on the red carpet: Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and key hair on America’s Next Top Model.

We gathered 222 images from that career into one book. The KANYON | FHA retrospective is free to download at FairchildHairArtistry.com (link in bio). Turn the pages, then book your Dry Cut session with him in Buckhead.
