There is a word in Portuguese that has no real translation.
Saudade.
It’s the feeling of missing someone you love.
A place that once felt like home.
A moment you wish you could live one more time.

And I think, as a traveller, you learn to live with it.
Because when you choose a life of movement, you also choose to leave things behind.
People you wish you could hold a little longer.
Places you wish you could stay in a little longer.
And moments you didn’t realise were special until they became memories.

Sometimes, I wonder what it would feel like to stay.
To have a place to call home, someone to come back to, and a life that doesn’t always require saying goodbye.
But then I remember why I chose this life.
And maybe that’s the beautiful, painful part of it.
You can love the life you’re living and still miss the life you left behind.

Maybe growing up is learning that you don’t have to get rid of saudade.
You just have to learn how to carry it.
Because some things are worth missing.

And maybe that’s how you know they truly mattered. by @michaelmassivo

Maybe the best places don’t give you answers.
They just remind you what it feels like to be alive.

Bali was early mornings, late nights, long rides with nowhere to be, sunsets I didn’t want to end, new faces that became familiar, and moments I wish I could live one more time.

I came here expecting a trip and somehow left with a whole chapter of my life.

These are just a few frames of it.
