So proud of how Korea SHOWED UP at the Pickleball World Cup this year!!!!

We grew from 1 senior team/4 players to 5 full teams/30+ players. We were so lucky to also have trainers, photographer, managers, coaches, admin staff and family members to support the players and cheer us on.

Getting THIRD place in individual medal count blew away all expectations! And, our Masters team (60+) grabbed the bronze.

I captained and played on the Senior team (50+). We went undefeated in pool play, advanced through R32 and R16 and lost in a nail biter to Spain in the quarters. Overall, placed #6 out of 40 countries!

While the heat was brutal and software glitches caused some issues, the event overall was a tremendous success. Nothing compares to the energy coming from thousands of competitors playing their hearts out for their countries. The crowds in the packed stadiums were electric. First time I visited Vietnam and it was truly special.

Thank you @pickleballworldcupofficial for hosting another wonderful event. Looking forward to next year!!!

Thank you to all of our major supporters including @koreapickleballacademy, @trion_sports_pickleball and Pickleball Korea Federation. Thank you 🙏

Pickleball is gaining momentum in Korea. Let’s keep growing the sport and come back stronger every year!!! @teamkoreapickleball 💪🇰🇷💥 taken in Danang City, Vietnam by @michaelmoon.pb

So much fun teaming up with my friend Trent Tucker again in Sacramento. He got a calf injury earlier in the day but still managed to play amazing!

Had an epic comeback after being down 13-7 to win a match 16-14.

Maybe karma trying to make things right because we had lost earlier 12-10 in the third after being up 9-3 and having 3 match points. Props to Tao Thongvanh and Morgan Shepherd for pulling that out 👏👏👏. So many high quality points but unfortunately I didn’t get a recording of that match.

Loving my Boomstik 💥💪. Thank you @selkirksport for the support!

Epic battles at the APP Sacramento on Saturday with Maggie Fields. Huge comebacks including a 16-14 win after being down 10-3. Most proud of our ability to adjust strategy and stay strong mentally. Pickleball is a game of momentum. Always stay focused because anything can happen!
